Georgia and Azerbaijan Support Terrorism in Russia: Chechen Leader

Azerbaijan and Georgia are weapon and drug suppliers for terrorist organizations and criminal gangs in the North Caucasus, Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov told in the September 23 interview with Russian Zavtra daily.

“The major former Soviet armouries are located in Georgia and Azerbaijan. All weapons and ammunition are intended for bandits. Heroin that was recently supplied is now replaced by trotyl and rifles.”

According to Kadyrov, West is concerned with cutting the Caucasus off Russia as it is Russia’s strategic frontier. With this view “they recruit terrorists and sent to our country.”

As himself once a terrorist, he knows well who supported them and are supporting now too

I hear that talk alot and it is not based in reality. Aliyev is not a fundamentalist Islamic and neither is Saakashvili. They are certainly dictators of the worst degrees, but they are threatened by the same scourge of radical Islam we all face in the Caucasus. Maybe they could do more to contain their radical elements and keep them out of our borders, but then we aren't really giving them a reason to do so.

Obama doesn't have the ballz to build a base in Georgia. He doesn't even have enough to keep a missile shield you promised Poland and Czech Rep. At this very moment they are writing about how betrayed they are by their staunchest ally. Russians are laughing from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok at US resolve. :sarcastic:

Obama is half Muslim & half chistian , he dont have guts, nor idea about defence politics, so he is going to bring down the US itself,
but the US defence sheild with drawl would bring the Poland & Czech a great fear of life from Russia, they will learn a lesson what would happen if u hate ur mighty neighbour.

His religion has nothing to do with what you say. Presidents are guided and consulted by the officials, intelligence units and so on.

I feel they are just holding it back since they need Russian help to reach Afghanistan. It doesnt take much time or reason to be back there again.

they are not as stupid as we think. They take care of their interests very well.

US simply doesnt have the cash for ABM right. Nor they have the cash for more F-22... or for few other ambitious projects.

They are fighting two wars and not winning either. Budget is increased, debt is increased, but the actual military is getting the axe.

More like reshuffel of priorities. Army and Marines are sucking funds fielding MRAPs while USAF needs tankers and Navy priority is ABM. Gates is pulling back from exotic items b/c they are of no practical use in Astan, Iraq, or any forseable conflict The numbers of marines and soldiers are to increase by 100,000 by 2013 so the military is actually expanding. The inflation in military ticket prices are reducing numbers, not b/c they want to axe their military but b/c they do not know how to reduce cost and have a fixed procurement budget.
