i think a dedicated gaming console will probably cost less than a high end PC for gaming.

What's your budget and what games are you planning to play? Any specific hardware requirements?

Hi, I have a 4 years old laptop with Intel C2D processor, 4 GB DDR3 RAM, and 512 MB Nvidia Geforce 105M GPU. Has anyone played Skyrim or Deus Ex-Human revolution on a similar config? I just want to get a crude idea of performance before going for those games. Thanks

You can play with that processor but those are the minimum requirements for Skyrim & DX, which means you'll have to play at low res and very low game settings.

For gaming , the Video card and hard driver is the most parts.

GTX Titan + intel SSD will beat all the games in high resolution.

I think you mean Processor, SSD at the most will only be useful for quicker loading time as it will read the files faster, it improves OS performance.

GPU : Asus GTX 650 Ti
Cabinet : Any branded one (avoid sub 1000 cheap ones)
