JMM MP Kameshwar Baitha joins BJP

Ranchi, March 6: With the announcement of the election dates the heat is showing on the political parties in Jharkhand. With several resignation and rejoining happening and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha is leaving no stone unturned as the party supremo announced Jharkhand Cricket chief Amitabh Choudhary as the candidate from Ranchi who will in turn give tough completion to Congress MP Subodhkant Sahay.

JMM MP from Palamu Kameshwar Baitha also resigned and joined BJP on Thursday, March 6. As Shibu Soren will contest LS polls from Dumka the heat is surely on the political parties. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MP from Palamu Kameshwar Baitha today resigned from the party and joined Bharatiya Janata Party. He alleged that Chief Minister Hemant Soren was destroying JMM through his decisions.

He said he decided to leave his party since the party was not functioning as it used to earlier under the leadership of party supremo Sibu Soren. He said BJP was sure to win all seats in the polls. He said he was going to campaign hard for the victory of BJP. He however did not comment on whether he had resigned from JMM on being reportedly denied a ticket.

Surprising that such a chap could be a JMM legislator and none objected earlier including the Congress, which partners/ support JMM or the media.

Congress supporting AAP & BJP supporting Kameshwar Baitha. So both are Maoist sympathizers?

This is the reason I don't support BJP or congress and by extension,Modi. The BJP is just as corrupt as congress. In my state they inducted a former chief minister who was arrested on charges of corruption against him.Even congress is less worse in my state.

I read few years ago that 75% or more of Indian parliamentarians faced charges stemming from assault, rape, corruption, theft, etc.

I don't understand how with reports of 50% of area under maoists, it is not biggest issue.

Are they separatist sympathizers in general, wanting or hired to weaken the region?

Kameshwar Baitha is a member of the 15th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Palamu constituency of Jharkhand. He was originally a member of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha political party, but left the party in 2014. He declared that he had joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), but BJP was hesitant in admitting him and stated that his application to join the party had not been approved.

by the way i don't want him in bjp or any other party (he is a burden on earth )

Good to see BJP fanboys replying after 3 days. Sad to see, it took intense public pressure from folks other than them to get BJP to take this action.

    @A chauhan

Do you criticize decision to ally with Paswan ?
Do you support memorial for Bhindranwale by Akali Dal ?
Are you proud of your alliance with Thackerays ?
Should a person who converted lacs of hindus to buddhism, be allowed to join the party ?
Why is BJP silent on Ram Mandir, where has the money collected for Ram Mandir gone ?
Do you think Kodnani should be given death penalty ?
Why was Yeddy, Reddy bros fired, and why are they being brought back, is this not political opportunism ?
What is your opinion on alliance with Ram Kirpal Yadav ?
Do you support decision to ally with Pro-LTTE PMK ?

Lets see who is a Bhagoda now.

@Singh, AC is just mad because, AK is going to stop NM march to power in Delhi.

NM is becoming so big that even RSS is feeling threatened by him.

    1. I have no problems with Modi becoming PM.

    2. Modi is promising me what ?

    1. Roads
    2. Electricity
    3. Development

Something which I already have living in Delhi.

Delhi was awarded the best city of India, better than any of Gujarat's city. And I can proudly say that I never voted for Sheila D, the 3 time CM. So you can imagine why I am not too terribly excited about Modi

    3. And if Gujarat could develop despite UPA, what is stopping other states from developing or going down the drain under Modi ?

    4. There is a golden opportunity to pressurise politicians to deliver us change, and deliver it now.

Lets not act like sheep and be led where the shepherds take us. These men are power hungry, exploit their lust for power.

The actual cost of corruption, the opportunity cost of corruption, cessation of underground economy and the siphoning of funds to be sent abroad if checked by even 50%, will result in spectacular growth rates and unleashing the spirit of this country.

I think that is worth voting for.

    Sir....

You have great Infrastructure in Delhi, no doubt about that. What about the rest of the country? most people in the country support Modi only because they think he can repeat Gujarat success story in the whole country. I agree with you if we can stop even a fraction of money going into Swiss Banks, the country will grow at a staggering growth.

There will be some corruption under Modi's Government, and people are not expecting completely corruption free BJP Govt. Its Modi's time now, let AK become little more mature and we can vote for him in 2019.

Do you think you have a better option than Modi right now? India cannot afford the khichdi of 3rd front or another UPA.

If you worry only about Delhi while voting for national elections, then you are just another myopic person.
