First group of Afghan army cadets arrives for training at PMA

ISLAMABAD: Six Afghan National Army cadets arrived in Islamabad on Thursday to receive training at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Abbottabad, the Afghan embassy said.

The move comes after Army Chief General Raheel Sharif had offered training to Afghan forces during his visit to Kabul late last year. The cadets will take part in an 18-month long course.

This is the first ever group of Afghan National Army cadets to attend a course at the PMA.

Afghan Ambassador Janan Mosazai, while welcoming the cadets at the embassy in Islamabad, said that the move represents growth in Pakistan and Afghan ties.

"These six young cadets, selected from among the best in Afghan National Army," Mosazai said, adding that they "represent the steady and solid quantitative as well as qualitative growth and development of Afghanistan's national security and defence forces over the past decade."

"They take great pride in providing security to the Afghan people and defending the country against external threats, and who enjoy the strong backing and support of the entire Afghan nation."

The arrival of the cadets coincides with a six-day visit to Pakistan by a five-member Afghan military delegation led by Afghan National Army Director General of Training, Education and Doctrine Maj Gen Nematullah Khushiwal.

"The induction of these young Afghan cadets at the Pakistan Military Academy is an important step in both countries' efforts to strengthen, broaden and deepen security and military relations, and cooperation in all areas," the Afghan ambassador said.

Highlighting their role as ambassadors of their country in their own individual right, Ambassador Mosazai asked the cadets to establish close and long-lasting ties of professional and personal friendship with their Pakistani counterparts as well as with students from other friendly countries attending PMA.

Former President Hamid Karzai had long opposed Afghan forces training in Pakistan in spite of Pakistan's repeated requests.

Ready to join the terrorists.
Pakistanis were abusing them till last moon, because they were getting trained in India.

God knows how many conspiracy theories they had injected in their gullible masses against Afghans and India, vis a vis ANA cadets getting trained with us.

Pakistanis never appreciated the fact that Afghanistan desperately need a well trained army who can help their war torn nation revive back. Now with cadets started joining PA the same inferiority complex ridden Pakistanis wouldn't reverse their own presumption like PA trained Afghan soldiers will be used against Indian interests.

I am happy Pakistani schizophrenia will find some relief after this, not expecting them to see how India played it out by refusing them sales of weapons even when the so called pro India government was in Afghanistan.

New Delhi: Pakistan is believed to have deployed a unit of its Special Services Group (SSG) to help terror outfits Lashkar-e-Tayyaba and Jaish-e-Mohammed infiltrate into India during American President Barack Obama's visit to New Delhi. The Special Services Group is a highly-trained special operations unit of the Pakistan Army.
This is where your country has own WIKIPEDIA entry on Pakistan sponsored terrorism..Congrats!!
Pakistan and state-sponsored terrorism
In 2009, Pakistani President Asif Zardari admitted at a conference in Islamabad that Pakistan had, in the past created terrorist groups as a tool for its geostrategic agenda.[1] Pakistan had long been accused by neighbour India, and western nations like the United States,[2][3] and the United Kingdom[4] of its involvement in terrorist activities in India and Afghanistan.[5][6] Pakistan's tribal region along the border of Afghanistan has been claimed to be a "haven for terrorists" by western media and the United States Defense Secretary.[7][8][9] According to an analysis published by the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at Brookings Institution in 2008, Pakistan was, "with the possible exception of Iran, perhaps the world's most active sponsor of terrorist groups... aiding groups that pose a direct threat to the United States."[10] Daniel Byman, an author, also writes that, "Pakistan is probably today's most active sponsor of terrorism"

WASHINGTON — Dozens of Afghan students and others from around the country stood in front of the U.S. Capitol on Dec. 7 to demand that Congress cut all military funding to Pakistan.

Ahead of Barack Obama visit, Pakistan army to help terrorists sneak into India
New Delhi: Planning to carry out a major strike during the visit of US President Barack Obama to India, Pakistan is believed to have moved a unit of its Special Services Group, a highly-trained special operations unit of the Pakistan Army, to help a Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed module to infiltrate into India.

Intelligence sources said the module was specifically tasked with hitting a 'soft target', possibly in the Jammu and Kathua region, similar to the attack on the Peshawar Army school. Security in the Jammu region and the Valley is, therefore, at an all-time high. With these fresh inputs, additional security personnel were deployed late Thursday evening along the Line of Control and the international border by the Army and BSF respectively.
Ray sir was very clear when he called your Pak Army terrorists.. Cuz he knows the rogue brigs inside the Pak side..

who needs burnol kanjara??
:lol::lol::lol:
Perhaps those 6 would join Taliban later and Pakis want to show the world that they are training AFG "soldiers".

The soldiers India is training would stay in AFG Army loyal to their nation and not Taliban.

First of all, desist from showing your breeding with filthy words. Be warned.

I am allowing your low life comment to stand to indicate where you hail from and your upbringing.

Also please appear educated, if nothing else.

Who sponsored the Mujahideens, Taliban?

That you are delightfully challenged in knowledge is ever so evident.

Do go out and buy the book by Brig Yousaf, 'The Bear Trap' and light will shine on you.

Brigadier Mohammad Yousaf, was head of the Afghan Bureau of Pakistan's Inter-Service Intelligence and as such was effectively the Mujahideen's commander-in-chief. He controlled the flow of thousands of tons of arms across Pakistan and into its occupied neighbour, arms that were bought with CIA and Saudi Arabian funds from the USA.

There are many articles and books that vividly elucidate the Pakistan's involvement to include the Pak Army and ISI with terrorist groups. Do exert yourself and learn from them and then opine as to who is the 16 year old whatever you wrote which I cannot reproduce since it is beneath my dignity and hardly worth comment.

Therefore, if any Afghan is to be trained, what else can you train them about, apart from what you have trained the Afghans so far for?
