The USA is a representative republic.

The Telegraph's gratuitous evoking of "anti-government activists" is irrelevant to the technology

Home-made weapons have been used for all history.

Consider the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and the Danish Resistance to the Nazis.

The NRA is made up of gun owners and citizens who support the 2nd amendment. Gun manufacturers support the NRA mainly by advertising in NRA publications.

3D printing isn't going to put any arms manufacturer out of business, or even be competitive. But you know that, don't you?

Where the home industry needs to thrive is in reloading of ammunition, since Janet Napolitano is trying to buy up all the ammo she can.

It needs to fire only once. You kill a soldier with it and take his weapon. That was the principle of the simple weapons provided to insurgents in WWII.

And if the round misses? After all, plastic barrel cannot be properly rifled and you have to reload this gun manually. :taunt:
