NEW DELHI: Days after the Mumbai Mantralaya fire, a fire broke out in the home ministry in North Block here on Sunday afternoon.

According to TV reports, the fire has been reported from conference room No. 102.

AK Sharma, director, fire services, claimed that the fire has been brought under control.

He said that an alert about fire was given to them at around 2.20pm.

Several fire tenders have been pressed into service to douse the flames.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage is still not known.

The North Block houses several key ministries.

One does not know that 2014 holds for the political parties.

It is good to be prudent!

Especially in a country where accountability is not important.

Its other way round ie GHQ learnt it from INC.After all INC has more than 100+ years of experience in such things.Pakistani GHQ just came into being on 14th august 1947.So whatever GHQ learns its learns from lutneys.

Fire safety norms are for accidental fires.

First in Mumbai, now in Delhi. Seems like they are busy cleaning up before the next elections.

Why not ? or they can have their own network with redundant locations. To sum up, if they want, they can do it.

If they have data as sensitive as burning in fire, one seriously doubts the use of cloud's.

Bad news is that none of the ministers get harmed in these so called fires.

    TIGER, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the North Block night,
    What immortal hand or eye
    Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

(apologies to William Blake and Tiger, Tiger Burning Bright in the forests of the night)
