No bindi wearing , boycut sporting anchor women or hyper-ventilating anchor men shouting "Bloody evangelists" [in the tone of Bloody saffronis] now ? ?

I'm surprised what happened to the bleeding heart [on TV ] rationalists and secularists.

Good to see faiths other than Hinduism alone questioned for blind belief and quackery.

To be canonised you have to do a 'miracle'

Some women in North Bengal stood witness for Mother Teresa having done a miracle on them and saved them from death and so that was used in the process to canonise Mother Teresa.

However, the Church and all knew that is only hocus pocus.

But it had to be done and proved if the silly rituals were to be gone through!

It is only a bloody FIR. They are filed dime and a dozen through the length and breadth of the country. Of course if the court issues a warrant against this man for pointing out the bloody obvious, then it would be the time to start worrying.

That said, does anyone have a link to the TV discussion?

The only way to be cannonised is convert maximum people or kill those who do not convert.

Jesus wept oh, it's bad plumbing. Indian rationalist targets miracles

Sanal Edamaruku faces jail for revealing 'tears' trickling down a Mumbai church statue came from clogged drainage pipes

The renowned rationalist was accused of blasphemy, charged with offences that carry a three-year prison sentence and eventually, after receiving death threats, had to seek exile in Finland.

Now he is calling for European governments to press Delhi into dropping the case. And on the first leg of a tour around EU capitals on Friday, he warned that India was sacrificing freedom of expression for outdated, colonial-era rules about blasphemy.

"There is a huge contradiction in the content of the Indian constitution which guarantees freedom of speech and the blasphemy law from 1860 under then colonial rule," Edamaruku told the Guardian in an interview in Dublin.

"This blasphemy law can affect anyone in India – even a girl recently who wrote on Facebook against closing down a city because of the death of a famous local politician. She was prosecuted under the blasphemy law and another girl who 'liked' her comment on Facebook was also arrested and then charged with blasphemy."

Sanal is Malayali Christian AFAIK and President of Indian Rationalist Association - in past he has exposed a Hindu tantrik and also Mother Teresa. He is a true secularist or rationalist - better than all our fake celebrity pseudo-seculars - who lampoons all with no prejudice.
