In reality majority of talent get wasted bcz of language barriers in India.
Not just Language barrier, education infra is down in the dumps, there were/are(?) no less opportunities for the talented. India promoted mediocrity not merit.

To put into Context Obama became president of USA on Merit, of his own hard effort. he didn't need the crutches of Exclusivity,

I agree.
But still I consider language barrier is one of the biggest issue.

Don't make much difference to me; You can call whatever you like.

Not with Indian companies but with India itself. [\QUOTE]

Have u ever attended any earning call of any multinational company? There is no scope of emotion getting in the way of business. Fin* can be influenced to stop doing with India due to other factors like politics as suggested by zebra. Their top executives will get roosted if they start stop business for such reasons by their investors.

To illustrate the point: US banned some chinese teleco for selling equipment to Iran( espionage charges). Then semi-conductor businesses made move to lift ban to save their ass.

Victim card is easy to play. and MIC works differently. by stopping to supply spares it can render most of our Naval guns useless. aand it also supplies fire control radar to our ships. so..[\QUOTE]

Everything is improving in india including education.

The blind cannot see. Comparison with west is illogical as the country was stark poor in 1947 in addition to many social problems.

Brain drain happens mainly due to pay differential. The salaries in developed countries are much higher and this will pull Indians until the differential reduces.

Economic and technical progress is always incremental, specially when a very large population is involved.

Today's india does a lot of r&d though quality and quantity needs to improve. Resource crunch is still there in most programs. However more and more programs are acquiring critical mass where a project shows visible progress and becomes sustainable.

The future lies in local led developed technologies and products.

This means no Skyward IRST for Tejas Mk-2. Will have to look for some one internal IRST that fits.
