Finland to close embassy in Pakistan

HELSINKI: Finland plans to close down its embassy in Pakistan during 2012 due to budgetary constraints, the Finnish foreign ministry said on Wednesday.

The decision to shut the mission in Islamabad was part of a bigger scheme to trim the Nordic country's network of embassies, with closures also announced in Caracas and Manila. Foreign ministry undersecretary of state Peter Stenlund told reporters the Pakistan closure was also partly due to security concerns in the capital. Pakistan's foreign ministry said it had been informed of the decision.

True no body from that country visit na-pakistan and no business relation. Not only that nobody from western world viist -na-pakistan. Even there own expats don't visit there own na-pak country due to fear of abduction

I don't like living next to Somalia.
By the way decisions to place embassies somewhere are not purely economic. But then Finland don't have any-nomic relations with Pakistan, so why even bother keeping a nerve tab of a bothersome place.
Well, "good for you" is all we can say. However I doubt a domino ripple.

I have also heard that no major western airline goes to Pakistan....

No Lufthansa, KLM or Air France or western airlines.

only Arab airlines goes there
