Pakistan declares war on rats in Parliament

ISLAMABAD – Special teams have waged a war on rats roaming in the Parliament House, with one rodent recently caught alive from the Prime Minister’s chamber.

Media reports suggest an operation has been underway for the past seven months in order to clear the House from rats. The special teams have successfully caught 430 rats, so far.

The operation was launched in June 2016 by a private firm against a contract of Rs650,000 annually. The contract was awarded by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) responsible for the maintenance of the house.

The firm is maintaining records of success diligently. During first month of the operation, the teams caught 236 rats, and in July 42, 34 in August, 34 in September, 32 in October, 28 in November and till date in December 24 rats were caught.

This rat problem has stemmed due to the two cafeterias inside the Parliament House and the individual kitchens attached to the various committee rooms, Moreover, the kitchens that are attached to the chambers of the Speaker, Senate Chairman, Deputy Chairman Senate and other officials are also providing a safe haven to the rats.

These kitchens are used for making luncheons and dinners on site; however more recently the events were being catered by a third party that brings cooked food items to the site.

He said while speaking as a chief guest in a Seerat Conference at Public School Gadap Karachi. Principal Muhammad Yousuf Shaikh and Board of Governors Chairman Dr Muhammad Suleman also spoke on the occasion.

The minister advised the students to thoroughly study about the life of our Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) and make every effort to follow his teachings in their practical lives.

He emphasized upon the teachers to motivate their students to read about the Seerat. “Islam is the religion of peace and tolerance and right now the world needs the philosophy of Islam to create harmony among the nations of the world,” he added. :pound::pound::pound::pound::pound::pound:

Report reveals why 98 percent students failed in CSS exams
Last Updated On 21 December,2016 09:48 pm

A candidate wrote the question again and again to fill pages in Agriculture & Forestry paper
ISLAMABAD (Daily Dunya) – Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has issued Examiners Report for the disappointing results in Central Superior Services (CSS) exams in 2016.

According to the report, a candidate had written the question again and again to fill space, pages in Agriculture & Forestry, while around 55 candidates out of 105 got zero in Applied Mathematics subject.

Only a few managed to perform well in Botany whereas some students had answered the questions in Urdu while attempting the paper of Persian language.

A lot of the CSS exam takers filled the papers of Chemistry and Physics with unnecessary essays which generally require to the point answers.

The report by FPSC suggests that most of the candidates had grammatical and structural errors in their English papers. Around 5 percent of the people who attempted the Islamic Studies exam failed to clear it while a candidate interestingly filled the exam in Sindhi language.

80 percent people in Agriculture & Forestry and 55 percent in Applied Mathematics failed in their respective exams. Not even half the number of candidates got fifty percent marks in these exams.

Examiners Report recommends a qualification round for CSS aspirants according to which only those candidates will be allowed to sit in the exams who qualify the initial test.

It must be noted here that most of the students who failed their exams were graduates belonging from Punjab University, Peshawar University and Karachi University.
So most students failed all other subjects but 95% passing rate in Islamiyat. Imagine how close the competition in islamiyat subject! All the top students must be Hafiz(one who has memorized entire quran) scholars. These people will form the future administrative class of Pakistan government (apart from copy-sifarish cheats). One can imagine how bright future of Pakistan is in the hands of such civil servants.

No, India must be at least $15-20 trillions, even with current growth rate, India is projected to be $12 trillions in 14 years.
When economy will grow Rupee will also become strong.Currently it is priced at just 1/3.9th of where it should have been. I.e Rupee should be at Rs 18 if it is priced at per PPP. We have a huge huge chance of improving economy (Nominal Value) by mare rupee appreciation and it will happen very soon.

But rupee at 18 will kill the exports
it better be somewhere around 45-55

By the time it will reach 18, we shall be a knowledge based economy dealing in monopoly items and shall not be dependent of cheap manufacturing export and low level of BPO sort of work. So that will not affect our economy.

Depends man!
Depends on inflation and currency appreciation which in turn is dependent on Trade Deficit & surplus.

I'm predicting based on two observations, one; RBI has targeted balanced inflation targets which they are meeting too. Two; after a short term pain, India's exports have again catched up the pace and even grown faster than imports many times this year (thanks to manufacturing growth rate). If current speed is sustained, India can score a surplus in nine years from now.

Does anyone knows in Pakistani TV discussions, why do they all have notebook and pen. If they are taking notes , no one really looks down to check it again, may be they check it during break? or Could it be list of points they are supposed to talk which they tick one by one?

What made us a bid current account deficit country is the felicitation of chiddu to import capital goods which rose ten times. It happened to be 10 bn USD in 2004 and in next 9 years of UPA regime it rose to 590 bn USD in next 9 years which exceeded even oil import. . Out of that 590 bn USD capital goods, 85% of which we make in India. Chiddu allowed import from china on very relax terms. Other was the import of coal because of coal scam and restriction on coal production in india. If we take proper measure and give boost to make in India, we may be a trade surplus state by 2019 like what happened in Vajpayee's era. Modi government has taken some great measures in curtailing import and boosting domestic production and revival of steel industries is an example. Let us hope for the best.
