Typical was the description offered by reporter Aubrey Menen of one such assault, which targeted a recently-married woman:

Two [Pakistani soldiers] went into the room that had been built for the bridal couple. The others stayed behind with the family, one of them covering them with his gun. They heard a barked order, and the bridegroom’s voice protesting. Then there was silence until the bride screamed. Then there was silence again, except for some muffled cries that soon subsided. In a few minutes one of the soldiers came out, his uniform in disarray. He grinned to his companions. Another soldier took his place in the extra room. And so on, until all the six had raped the belle of the village. Then all six left, hurriedly. The father found his daughter lying on the string cot unconscious and bleeding. Rape in 1971 had a much darker side as it was also an ideological act of the Pakistan state. We don’t know how many soldiers actually went to do this as part of faith but it certainly made them feel better to rape kafir women than Muslim women. Since Pakistan sold the war to the soldiers as a holy war this argument was obviously useful and of course all rape victims no matter what their religious identity were conveniently kafir in Pakistani eyes. That is all Bengalis were considered — kafir.

As the Pakistani major from Jhelum wrote on being told that his friend was sexually ravaging Bengali women. “We must tame the Bengali tigress and change the next generation.” Change to better Muslims, Pakistanis?

Musharraf expressed his regret when the outgoing Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan, Alimul Haq, made a farewell call on him recently in Islamabad, Bangladesh foreign ministry said in a statement.
Musharraf, who had earlier regretted the 1971 atrocities during his visit to Bangladesh in July 2002, not only reiterated "his regret about the military crackdown in 1971," but also described it as "traumatic, unfortunate, a political blunder and myopic vision on the part of the west Pakistan leaders," official BSS news agency said quoting the statement.

Considering the homosexual Pakistani society and military (no 1 in Google gay search),there should be seperate investigation of rapes of male population in East Pakistan in 1971.

And a seperate monuments for males and animals should be made who were raped by Pakis.
