Qatar Rafales is cheaper than Indian Rafales why is that while India is buying 36 Rafales for 9 billion dollar while Qatar is buying for 7 billion. Mr Sancho.
Something wrong in that tweet. 7 billion $ deal in 2016 was for 24 Rafale only.
And Qatar has ordered 24 Typhoons, not 36.

Doubtful, he has mixed up some figures and left the weapon pack cost out, while it was not clear how much of the Rafale cost was for weapons. Either way, not comparable since the content and the numbets are different, even for Qatar, let alone for India.

Five US, European players apply for Poland's fighter jet tender

The Polish Ministry of Defence has obtained five applications from companies that aim to participate in the country’s tender to purchase new fighter jets.

The participants include Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Leonardo and Saab, Lt. Colonel Robert Wincencik, a representative for the ministry’s Armament Inspectorate, told local news site Defence24.pl...

...The Eurofighter Typhoon is made by a consortium formed by Leonardo, BAE Systems, and Airbus Defense and Space.

So apart of Finnland, Belgium, Switzerland, now Poland is also a choice for the EF + some possible customers for 2nd hand versions.

Chile is interested in acquiring used Austrian Typhoons that are being retired over the cost and lack of capability.
So sad...Chile vulturing another dozon of top-end jet when it have block52 and sit in one of the calmest place in earth. ,send them to vietnam-Taiwan...at least these jets could expect some action worthy of it's name in future.

Croatia also in talk with Sweden to replace it's Mig-21 .fleet..should buy these jets if possible .

Well... that is what I thought too. It looks calm in Chile. But I digged it a little, and , surprise, surprise, there is a lot of bad blood between Chile and Bolivia. Actually Chile “stole” Bolivia’s access to the Pacific after the so-called Pacific War of 1884. Bolivians never forgave ! It is pretty much like a non-stop cold war between the two countries. So, you see, Chile isn’t taking any chances.

Belgium and Switzerland are favoured for Rafale, Poland is wanting F-35, Finland would more likely choose Gripen NG. Chile is interested in acquiring used Austrian Typhoons that are being retired over the cost and lack of capability.
Belgium and Rafale is hilarious! Colombia and Romania are also considering 2nd had EFs.

That type of problem exist between Chile-Argentina too ,they are on the verge of war 4/5 times in last century alone , somehow averted those wars. They fuckedup their borders in patagonia and Andez and still occasionally suffer panic.
fact is Bolivia and Argentina is nowhere near Chiles economic and military might , and even now Chile have 60+ F-16 , atleast 20 are Block52+ . Not only fighters ,but CAS , refueler aircraft everything . They are more than sufficient .probably strongest military in southern hemisphere. I bet they are probably better than Ausis without F-35.

It's actually constitutional there that govt need to spent a % of total copper export in defense , probably Pinochet era rule ,no democratic govt want to piss military so the continue to spent like this....but even then they vulture defense products , like former german leopard , former dutch F-16 and if rumors are true then this .

Poor Bolivia have no chance anyway to get those land ,they are the one who start the pecific war though , so it's Karma..

Colombia May Buy Used Eurofighter Typhoons From Spain

Last Tuesday, the Spanish-language news website, Defensa, reported that the Colombian Air Force is currently evaluating the procurement of second-hand Eurofighter Typhoons from Spain.

If this acquisition goes through, it will make Bogotá the first client for the type in the Americas. It would also represent a significant qualitative leap for the Colombian Air Force, which uses an updated version of the IAI Kfir as its main fighter type.

This proposal also implies that the Typhoons will belong to the Tranche 2 standard and come equipped with the advanced Meteor missile. For now, only enough aircraft to equip a single fighter wing are being considered...

It is hilarious that Belgium values jobs? It is hilarious that Belgium values cost savings by sharing infrastructure and training? It is hilarious that Belgium would choose the lowest bidder? It is hilarious that they would partner with the military that speaks the same language? It is hilarious to think since they are integrating their Army with French so they wouldn't do the Air Force?

Don't hold your breath, Belgium will go for F-35.
Yeah. If it was any other Nato country than Belgium I would not hold my breath too. But using the fault lines between flemish parties and french speaking parties , France can crack this nut. Just wait and see.

Well it didn't take long...

Belgium Rejects French Lobbying for Rafale Fighters, Sticks to Tender Process
Belgium has rejected French offer of Rafale fighter jets for the country’s bid to replace aging F-16 fighter jets.
“The French government already promised an economic return of 4 billion, there is now even 20 billion. This is mainly proof that the lobby machine is running at full speed, Minister of Defense Steven Vandeput (N-VA party) was quoted as saying by De Standaard, Belgian news daily Thursday.

I think he has a point. For one, Belgium has F-16s, not Mirages, despite 36% of the country speaking French. Second, Belgium has rejected all of France's economic sweeteners to Belgium for Rafale. First 4 Billion Euros then 20 Billion Euros...

The ruling party is Flemish, hence anti-French, but they must maintain a coalition in order to remain in power. If they pass up on such an offer they will lose. This deal is headed the same as the Suisse.

And don't forget about SABCA, who screw-assembled F-16-s for the half of NATO countries...
It will be very interested in F-35A screw-mounting :)

I don't think it's an anti-French move. That would be too clumsy.

You should be happy if another NATO country buys F-35 after all it's a loser even against Russia's souped up SU27 known as SU35. You should lobby that all NATO countries buy that lemon so that they'll hand over European skies to Russia...
