KOLKATA: The entire state unit of the Aam Admi Party (AAP) on Friday decided to merge with the BJP, the party's West Bengal president Rahul Sinha said.
Many leaders from other parties have also shown interest to join the BJP, Sinha said.
Senior West Bengal Congress leader Pradip Ghosh will also join the BJP in the days to come, he claimed.

When BJP is gaining ground fast in WB, it must have support from Central Govt. ensuring their cadre just don't get killed unchecked as it happened before. The politics in WB has become a bloody and vicious game and with a self-obsessed CM at the helm it is unlikely any fairness can be expected from the servile administration.

BUT most of the people in WB did not know or care if thee was an AAP candidate in their constituency. So the bunch of opportunists joining BJP may be a news in national fora, hardly makes a news in WB itself.

That didn't work out very well for Congress in WB, when UPA was in power. BJP has a different approach to dealing with adversaries than Congress. Congress misuses instruments such as CBI to coerce political adversaries; while BJP goes after the adversary's political support base (like they did with BSP and SP).
