    Nukes achieve all that + Large scale irradiation + the nuclear blast itself

    I don't know how EMPs are more threatening than Nukes

    They have their own uses but when it comes to threatening or deterring someone , nothing comes close to a massive nuclear arsenal

    Our EMP bomb (launch platform not known yet) will have an yield of 20GW (Gigawatts).

    Not quite true.
    Modern electrical gird infrastructure is compartmentalized and modular. It has adequate fail safe and protections to avoid/mitigate damage if any and in event of damage precaution to avoid damage to neighboring grid.
    I worst case scenario small section of grid will be affected not the entire grid.
    Modern military equipment are EMP hardened hence probably survive. Even now days consumer electronics are EMP hardened. EMP hardening is not really difficult or even expensive.
    Only devices that are switched on have poor EMP protection are susceptible like older analog electronics.
    Why no banking??? Banking servers along with their network infrastructure are highly protected and secured to a point they are placed in Faraday's cage. Even big ISP have good EMP protection.
    Why no communication??? Cell towers and their backbone infrastructure is highly resilient to EMP.
    Please stop generalizing things and making incorrect claims. EMP is nothing more than a physiological terror weapon. If it was so great we would have seen mass deployment of the same.

    one system or part of system might be protected.....but it just required one opening to break the channal.....

    That is they beauty of modern electrical and electronic systems. They are getting more and more EMP hardened. Only legacy systems are vernurable but they are getting gradually replaced.

    you know how a emp works.....

    the pulse creats a sudden surge in current and voltage at any conducting body which it comes in its contect....now you are shelding the system....but still the wiring outside will carry that surge into the system to destroy it.....

    Not necessary. Surge protection is implemented right from silicon level, discrete component level (primary) and finally even at system level. Such protection are are available in many system. You are over-estimating their effectiveness.

    Its the altitude IMHO. You need to detonate the weapon at high-altitude if you want to affect a large area. So Nukes do not achieve all that an NEMP weapon does.

    How large an area are we talking about.
    The Nuke itself if airbursted will kill all comm systems in the airblast radius,which can be upto 50 square kilometres for respectably powerful thermonuclear weapons on account of destroying all concrete structures.

    Also considering there wasn't any limitation on nukes you can spare one for a high altitude detonation if you have the massive arsenal I mentioned.

    As I said EMPs might have their own niche uses but they will never be as threating or frankly as useful and powerful as nukes

    the surge protection in present electric & electronic quipment are design to a swtiching time in according to the frequency of our power suppy....50hz...or 60hz in US...

    emp weapon produce a pulse in GHz.....

    EMP weapons are detonated at a range of altitudes between 60 to 300 km. If the NEMP detonation takes place in the ionosphere, the resulting EMP is spread over such a large area that it can span an entire continent.

    Sir, you are confusing electro-magnetic spectrum vs emp.
    Emp is generally measured as Volts/meter for a particular frequency in the electromagnetic spectrum. Emp to be effective need to act on various spectrum band.
    Kindly note GHz band of electromagnetic spectrum has very high attenuation hence limited range.
