Egyptian paper Youm 7 in racist headline shame

The editor of Youm7 was today facing calls to quit after the newspaper published an article referring to black immigrant youths - as "n*ggers." The sickening slur appeared in a massive headline letters above an article claiming to tackle the issue of so-called 'black' gangs in Cairo. The disgusting headline sparked fury among readers and activists.

It is unclear whether the paper's Editor in Chief Khaled Salah will be forced to quit over the controversy.

I actually wonder if this was a mistake or it was done on purpose. I recall many people in college did not know it was a racist word, and thought it was something like dude. But yeah, being the editor of a newspaper he shouldve known better.
