I know it sounds really stupid to ask this question, but I have this feeling that we might have an extremely fractured verdict this time and we might have a mid term poll in about a year or so.
Looking at all the alliances and the break ups as well, the single minded aim of all parties is Gaddi at all costs. The regional parties are rolling the roost and will be the main cause of all the pain India goes through over the next year or so. I wonder if there is any system of referundum in our constitution so that we can change from this multi party circus to a two party system.

I do not think we will have mid term elections, because even if we have a hung parliament the small regional parties will either get together to support one of the national parties and form the goverment, now how long will this goverment last nobody knows but again if a crisis appears there will be the horse trading game and we will see some kind of goverment in place.

imagine this, if the initial goverment is formed with the help of a regional party like AIADMK and they decide to withdraw support midterm the DMK will spring back and support the goverment and keep it in power, the mid 90s syndrome in indian politics seems to be over, lets wait and see.

I don't know mate. Just see Pawar has now moved to the third front. I mean do people have any semblence of ideology?
Sushma Swaraj has accepted that the NDA might fail to get the mandate and that it look for more allies after the poll.
That means poach on the third front. But then the third front is made of parties whose leaders want to be PM.
So I don't think we can get a stable government

I think wat sushma swaraj said was that NDA would be the single largest alliance after the election and would make some post poll alliance to come to power.

IMO, NDA will come to power. remember, congress had only slight majority over BJP and after the 5 years of disastrous rule filled with terrorism and economic slowdown, congress just cant hope for being the single largest party. outside andhara, no other place can congress enjoys comfort.

    hmm.......why did you think so?
congress is confident enough to go single handed while all other opponents are busy forming alliances in AP. congress still has equal chance of coming back to power in AP.

Mate she looks like a he
    aka uglywati. :blum3:

Mayawati wants to be PM but who will let her be ? I reckon riots will break out if she were to become a PM. I have no to lesser problems if a dalit, a woman, or even an Italian becomes a PM but not Uglywati, no way.
    /Rant off.

notwithstanding her uglyness, wat I really dislike about her is the way she encourages chaplusi.........huge funds are collected for her birthday, govt funds are used to put her statues..........utter minority apeasement for votes, playing the card of dalits without doing anything for their upliftment similarly women card.

does she have even ONE good quality???????????
