I am good with whistling too. Plain mouth or folding two hands together quite like a shell and getting a loud sound.

I am naturally talented, so without any formal piano lessons, I can manage to play simple tunes.

When I buy one for my kids, I'll try to fulfill the desire I learn to play a piano.

Do that man, my 12 yr old is helping me to read and understand music sheets.

The plus side, you end up interacting with your kids as a friend and the relationship takes a new level that we never had with our parents.

Musical instruments are boreing, you dont get the same pleasure of listening to it as you play, it gets boreing once you start playing.

If you dont get a proper tune you get feed up and give up.

I think people learn instruments mainly to show off to others, because when you do it by your self and for yourself it is meaningless.
Some are born with a sense of musik, and some with nonsense troll.

Used to play Rhythm Guitars when in college to the tunes of Led Zep, Eagles, Scorpions and the likes. Didn't touch one since the last 11 years. Doesn't mean, I lost the touch, or should I say blow my trumpet.
