Deputy Chief of the Army Staff Lieutenant General Ramesh Halgali recently surprised students and Army personnel alike when he chose to perform a skydive while visiting the Army Adventure Skydiving Camp.

Lieutenant General Halgali was trained by members of the Army Skydiving Team for four hours before the jump.

This is the first time that an officer of lieutenant general rank has undertaken an Accelerated Freefall jump.

The Army Adventure Wing, which is a part of the Directorate General Military Training, had organised the skydiving camp for the Army skydivers at Misamari, Assam.

Good reason for hullagulla over the jump made by Halgali.

Lt Gen Narahari (Retd) who is nearing the 90s in age still does his Para jumps

When retired veterans, Lt Gen NSI Narahari and Lt Gen SN Sharma landed at the Dighi Hills near Pune, the spectators were taken by surprise. The veterans were taking part in a breathtaking para display organised in connection with the Victoria Cross Day celebrations at BEG & Centre, Kirkee. For them, age is no barrier and sky is not the limit. More than 100 dare devils of the Bombay Sappers also participated in the event.
