DEFCOM INDIA 2012: Rockwell Collins showcases advanced communications solutions for the military

Nov 07, 2012 (Menafn - M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) --At Defcom India 2012, taking place Nov. 8-9 in New Delhi, Rockwell Collins will showcase its latest communication solutions for India, and discuss its continued investment in the region through steady growth, strategic alliances and commitment to build on existing customer relationships.

Highlighting the company's presence and expertise at the show will be a presentation by Dr. Alan Tribble, principal marketing manager for Rockwell Collins. During his presentation, which begins at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 8, Tribble will examine two operational scenarios supported by two distinct Mobile ad hoc Networking (MANET) systems that are already in international operational use.

"Rockwell Collins has experience in fielding both types of MANET solutions, the Subnet Relay capability which is being deployed as the NATO standard Mobile ad Hoc Relay Line-of-Sight IP Networking (MARLIN), along with the FlexNet Waveform, which is designed as a core capability of the FlexNet radios," said Tribble. "I'll compare and contrast these products in terms of their ability to handle jammers, fast movers and terrain."

In addition, company representatives from the region will be on hand to demonstrate the latest military technology.
