Sir I was talking about an end game scenario for India. GB should be our top most priority but I'm snot sure if we are making any progress in that direction. Please share your thoughts on this
The condition of or logistics in Kashmir is't so good . And without great logistics any offensive is impossible , I think our military leaders have plan , but without improving road and transportation in Kashmir we can't take GB ,after completion of a set of rail and road network we might talk about it , but it still atleast 5-10 years away from happening.
IG have the best chance to bargain with 93000 jihadi in hand , but let see what happens.

Explosions, gunshots at resort in Philippines capital
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-philippines-resort-idUSKBN18S63W

Gun shots and explosions rang out from an entertainment resort in the Philippine capital Manila early on Friday and local media reported armed men were inside the complex.

Resorts World Manila said on social media it was in lockdown and the local fire department said a blaze was burning on the second floor of the building.

"We ask for your prayers during these difficult times," Resorts World said on Twitter.

Military spokesman Restituto Padilla said the police were in control of the situation and the army was monitoring closely.

Witnesses who spoke to radio stations said several gunmen were seen in the complex. News channel ANC said there were two gunmen, wearing masks and black clothes.

The information could not be immediately verified.

Pictures circulated on social media of the resort, close to the city's airport, showing plumes of smoke pouring from a building.

A source at one of the resorts told Reuters that employees were being evacuated and declined to give more details.

The Philippines is facing a crisis in the south of the country, where troops have been battling Islamist rebels since May 23. President Rodrigo Duterte declared martial law on the southern island of Mindanao last week.

Duterte has said he fears militant group Islamic State's "terrible ideology" will spread on Mindanao, an island of 22 million people, and has warned it could become a haven for supporters fleeing Iraq and Syria.

Gunshots, explosions and a fire erupted early Friday at the sprawling Resorts World Manila, a casino and resort on Manila Bay in the Philippines, leaving dozens of people injured, according to media reports.

A member of the local Red Cross team said at least 25 people were injured, The Manila Times reports.

The newspaper quotes Fernando Atienza, a local Red Cross team leader, as saying many of the victims suffered serious injuries from jumping from the second floor of the hotel.

Witnesses told police that gunmen wearing masks and black shirts opened fire inside the hotel, ABS-CBN News reports.

One employee, who described himself as a casino dealer, said one of the attackers poured flammable liquid on one of the casino tables and set it on fire, ABS-CBN said.

The SITE Intelligence group, a U.S.-based group that tracks extremist groups, said an operative for the Islamic State claimed that the group was responsible for the attack.

Resorts World Manila, which bills itself as the country's largest casino resort, is located in Pasay City, which is part of metropolitan Manila.

The incident erupted at a time of unrest by extremist groups elsewhere in the country. On May 23, President Rodrigo Duterte declared martial law in Mindanao to combat what he said was a rebellion by Islamic State radicals in that southern Philippines island.

(CNN)The popular Philippine tourist site Resorts World Manila is on lockdown after reports of gunfire and explosions at the sprawling complex.

A masked gunman was on the second floor of one hotel, firing at guests, hotel employees fleeing the scene told CNN Philippines.

Heavily-armed SWAT officers wearing bulletproof vests and body armor descended on the scene, Camille Abadicio of CNN Philippines said.

Emergency responders tend to a victim Friday at the Resorts World Manila.
Tikos Low said he was in the resort's casino, along with a few hundred other people, when the attack began. Low said he heard what sounded like an explosion.
"I could smell some kind of smoke that came from an explosive device," he said.
It was not immediately clear how many people may have been injured or killed in the attack, which started around midnight Thursday.

ISIS in Asia: Philippines battles growing threat

"The company is working closely with the Philippine National Police to ensure that all guests and employees are safe," the resort complex tweeted. "We ask for your prayers during these difficult times."
Chief Operating Officer Stephen Reilly confirmed shots were fired, but did not give details on how many gunmen might be inside.
"We are still investigating the situation," Reilly said in a statement. "We are searching the area as much as we can to make sure the building is clear."

The complex, which is described on RWM's website as "the first and largest integrated resort in the Philippines," is across from Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Shortly after the incident began, the US State Department warned citizens to avoid the area.

No one has claimed responsibility for Friday's attack.
The Philippines has been grappling with incidents of terrorism, especially on the southern island of Mindanao. There, in the city of Marawi, government forces have been battling ISIS-linked militants for control of the city.

The battle for Marawi, a largely Muslim city, has displaced at least 70,000 residents and left 140 people dead. The terrorist siege began last week, just as Muslims worldwide started to mark the holy month of Ramadan.
Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte declared martial law over the island of Mindanao in light of the crisis. Duterte also suggested he might extend martial law through year's end or impose it nationwide, alarming critics.

Correction, the aim of these attacks are to hurt the economy.

These videos are related to terrorism. I believe most of us might have watched it. But I thought it would be better to share them.

The real question is who gets benefited if Philippines is destroyed!!??

What America gains from Philippines. It neither has economy, nor bases to support US in case of war. It is an Island nation which is trying to develop. With entire Philippines GDP less than half of American military spending.

My apologies. After the initial speculation, it appears this was robbery at the resort and not terrorism.

Unless the root cause is not addressed, Islamic terrorism will never vanish.

1. Ban mosques. Mosques are single greatest source of Jihadi makers. It's one thing to read online but what mosques do at a different level. Mosques groom young muslims, kids, boys from early age and it's really only one way for these kids to grow into.

2. Islamic preachers. These guys preach venom and nothing else. Both preachers and their preachings should be banned.

3. Monies. This whole thing needs serious money. We all know the backers in back.

All these 3 can be done but WON'T be done because the countries affected by it want to pretend to be secular and pander to the left leaning societies they have become.

So you really think , US is doing charity in Phillipines? You do not know that there are still US military bases in Phillipines and the use of Phillipines is geostrategic to threaten and hit China or other powers in the region.
This guy, Duteurte is spoiling the party by "separating" from US and going to China and Russia.

Of course, Uncle will be mad...it might create trouble and force Phillipines economy to go in tailspin and then, get a puppet regime...to continue the age old game.

Southern parts of Phillipines had AbuSayyaf terrorists for decades...now they have grown ties with ISIS ...so they are being called ISIS.

Just like India , Phillipines lived under colonial rule of Spain and US...and therefore have slavish mentality like India had for a long time...finally Phillipinos are getting more self confident just like Indians and started to assert their identity and culture.

Its just not about military spending which many people are obsessed with. If it was only military spending..which could win war...N Korea or Iran would have been destroyed long ago.
Human fodder is needed to win Wars...who will die for the cause. The reason World is having so much trouble
winning War on terrorism is because terrorists are willing to kill and die for whatever stupid ideology they have.
To fight with them, soldiers are needed who have the same level of dedication in their ideology of anti-terrorism.

Resorts World Manila attack: 36 found dead after raid on Philippines casino

At least 34 people are dead after a gunman burst into a Manila casino, firing shots and setting gaming tables alight, Philippine media reported on Friday, in what officials said was a botched robbery attempt.

Police said the unidentified gunman had killed himself after firing at armed officers searching the still-smoking Resorts World Manila entertainment complex hours after the drama that began shortly after midnight (1600 GMT).

Many of the dead suffocated in the chaos as guests and staff tried to flee choking smoke at the complex, according to a report by ANC News channel, quoting Bureau of Fire Protection sources.

Resort owner Travellers International Hotel Group Inc said authorities were still seeking details.

“We have been informed of several casualties, the number and identities of whom have yet to be determined,” it said in a statement. Its shares were down 7 percent.

Around dawn, the body of the suspected gunman was found in a hotel room in the complex, which is close to Ninoy Aquino International Airport and an air force base, police said.

“He burned himself inside the hotel room 510,” national police chief Ronald dela Rosa told a media conference. “He lay down on the bed, covered himself in a thick blanket and apparently doused himself in gasoline.”

This is in the heart of Manila, away from the island where the Islamic attack is taking place.
