Reformatting the 303 into the rimless carbine was technology taken by Brigadier Rajendra Singh and manufacture was made in Jabalpur and guns delivered to Bomdilla during conflict.
The orginal design of the mechanism was in New Delhi in Rajdoot Marg.
The Carbine an American Gun made in Springfield Mass was dissassemled and rematched and the 303 single firing mechanism was replaced by a rimless bullet.
