Think about unthinkable. European countries are increasingly showing their lack of political leadership to get the group in order. The only way to strengthen it and prevent a collapse is to build up a common political and financial system to govern all Euro zone countries, which is very unlikely due to the resistance of few major countries, namely Germany, or France.

Such struggle may well leads to break up of Euro zone in next few years as countries like Greece, Italy, Spain and few others may fall into prolong economic recession while Germany, France are reluctant to offer help.

Euro zone’s break up may shock the world initially but eventually will benefit most European countries. UK and US could be the biggest winner and France, Germany might be the biggest losers.

Whatever the Europeans do they know one thing , they cant survive the economic giants on their own , so even with differences they will keep sticking to this .

we had a similar great thread :- will the NATO break up , try in the search

Then the way to hold them stick together is to build European fiscal and financial governance above and beyond local individual country. Otherwise Euro zone could not survive the next recession.

Right now Germany and France are bearing the burden of supporting the Euro while half of Europe is unofficially bankrupt, when Germany and France no longer continue doing this then a Euro collapse is possible, but USA has also been helping Germany and France in preventing this. Along with the collapse of Euro zone there could be a collapse of NATO.
