Cong leadership has always made sacrifices for country: Tewari Chandigarh: With Rahul Gandhi accusing BJP of instigating politics of anger and hate for political gains, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari on Wednesday night said the Congress Vice-President had spoken the truth. “Entire Congress leadership has always made sacrifices for the country’s unity and integrity… Congress leaders and workers have been fighting the divisive forces and the forcs of terror and the anti-India forces,†the Ludhiana MP said on the sidelines of a function organised by the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana. Earlier in the day Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP of instigating politics of anger and hatred for political gains and went emotional to say that one day he too may be killed like his grandmother and father but he is not “botheredâ€. “What Rahul Gandhi has said is the truth. If you look at the history of the BJP, from Mahatma Gandhi’s killing to massacre that took place in Gujarat, people connected with such ideology have remained involved,†he alleged. “Even many ministers of the Gujarat government are behind the bars on massacre charges (Gujarat riots),†he said. Tewari went on to say that it is a fact that Congress and its entire leadership have sacrificed their lives to protect the unity and integrity of this country. He attacked the fundamentalist ideology, in particular RSS’ ideology, saying it is unfortunate to say they have played an important role to “divide and spread hatred in this country.†Asked about the increased infiltration this year in Jammu and Kashmir, Tewari said, “as far as LoC is concerned, our forces are alert. You have seen in Keran sector how intruders were dealt with. “There is an attempt by those connected with terror outfits to send infiltrators into India. But earlier too such nefarious designs have been foiled and this time too these will be foiled,†he said. The Union Minister said that Pakistan and its rulers should seriously think over the policies it has adopted since three decades, now they themselves are facing the consequences. “Today, in Pakistan, incidents of terror are common and innocents are killed. The main reason is because of the policies Pakistan’s rulers have adopted (over the years). There is a saying ‘when you sow the wind, you reap the whirlwind’.†Asked if India needs to take a harsh step, he said, “I think we have been taking very firm measures for the last three decades. The fact is that all attempts which have been made by non-state actors supported by the Pakistani establishment to infiltrate into India in any manner to create chaos and disturbances have been foiled.†“The Government of India was successful in taking up the matter with regard to Pakistan being the epicentre of terrorism and a large number of Pakistani entities including the Jamut-ul-Dawa were labelled as terrorist organisations. Similarly, we also have been fairly successful in convincing global opinion that the non-state actors who have the support of Pakistani establishment need to be dealt with global cooperation,†he added. http://www.firstpost.com/politics/c...de-sacrifices-for-country-tewari-1190857.html *********************************************************************** “Entire Congress leadership has always made sacrifices for the country’s unity and integrity… Congress leaders and workers have been fighting the divisive forces and the forces of terror and the anti-India forces,†That is news. It is the country that has made the sacrifices for the stupidity of the Congress, rather than the other way around. India has made much sacrifices because of the flawed policies of the Congress Sultanate and Dynasty. Why are we talking about "as far as LoC is concerned, our forces are alert. You have seen in Keran sector how intruders were dealt with. “There is an attempt by those connected with terror outfits to send infiltrators into India. But earlier too such nefarious designs have been foiled and this time too these will be foiled,†? Maybe Mr Manish Maharaj could recollect history, if he is capable of doing so, without the usual dose of sycophancy and idolatry of the Nehru Gandhi that is staple for the Congress. If our most respected leader Mr Nehru, did not have that all encompassing and ardent desire to acquire that self assumed stature of a great international statesman full of humanism and love for mankind, then maybe the Army would have taken over Kashmir without the unending and wanton waste of lives at the LC or terrorist attacks within the country; or Muslims thereof being tarnished with the label of aiding terrorist through organisations as IM. In short, there would not be the vicious Hindu Muslim divide that we see in India today. Likewise, but for our benevolent leader Nehru, the head of the Congress, we would not have to face the ignominy of 1962 and the unnecessary sacrifice that the Army made. It was not Mr Nehru or the Congress, who made the sacrifice. In fact, Mr Nehru had abandoned Assam and Assamese people! Some sacrifice, what Mr Tiwari, Maharaj? Then Mr Nehru gave away the strategic Coco Island to Burma, as if it were his father's property! (the island to the North of the chain is Coco Island) The Chinese have established SIGINT intelligence gathering station on Great Coco Island in 1992 to monitor Indian naval activity in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and monitor the Straits of Malacca. It also is used to monitor activities at the launch site of the Indian Space Research Organization at Sriharikota and the Defence Research and Development Organization at Chandipur-on-sea. The Chinese Army is also building a maritime base on Little Coco Island. Who sacrificed, Mr Tiwari? Nehrus and Gandhis or is the burden of this folly being shouldered by common Indians, who actually have been sacrificed? What about Kachchativu, Mr Tiwari? Who sacrificed? It was a part of India and the Tamil fishermen used the island and they had a Catholic shrine. Katchatheevu belonged to India and it was ceded to Sri Lanka in an illegal manner without necessary Parliamentary approval. Who did so, Mr Tiwari, as if it were their father's jagir? And now, Tamil fishermen are abducted or killed! Who sacrificed? The Congress and its ledership? Indira Gandhi was assassinated. No right thinking Indian would accept that, and of that there is no doubt. But what caused it to happen? It was the dirty politics that we see even now and will see even again, since it has become a mantra and instrument for power aggregation. Had there be no Zail - Darbara conflict, where Zail as Chief Minister of Punjab dangerously brought religion into politics and his dirty politics with religion brought in front Jarnail Singh Bhindrenwale. History of India, Giani Zail Singh So who sacrificed, Mr Tiwari? Who ushered in the Khalistanis? And who is responsible for the mayhem that Punjab went through? In case you have forgotten, it was the people, including, if I may add, You! Why? Because your father too was killed by Sikh militants in 1984 at Sector 24, Chandigarh during a morning walk, a few months before Operation Blue Star. So, don't be so brazen and a sycophant. Mrs Gandhi did not sacrifice herself for the Nation. She was sacrificed by the downright dirty politics of the Congress Party and the Congress Party, in case you did not know, Congress does not spell I-N-D-I-A. Rajiv Gandhi too fell to assassin's bullets. But then was it a sacrifice for the Nation? He was not the PM then in any case. He was assassinated because as per the Supreme Court, it held that LTTE's decision of eliminating Rajiv was prompted by his interview to Sunday magazine (August 21–28, 1990), where he said he would send the IPKF to disarm LTTE if he came back to power again. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassination_of_Rajiv_Gandhi So, Mr TIwari, spin is acceptable, but spin going beyond control and into the realms of fantasy, is not. I am not BJP acolyte but be it from any political party, I hate lies, falsehood, disinformation, propaganda and importantly, sycophancy. Hence, I thought you may like to ponder over this and rein in your wild imagination and blurting laced with sycophancy. Please understand there are people who are educated and well conversant with the politics of the past and present. Such people hate lies being pandered as truth. Be like Yogendra Yadav. He has no hesitation in admitting shortcomings and faults. People like him are attracting the voters since we are tired of lies, falsehood, disinformation, propaganda and importantly, sycophancy. RSS and VHP scare, but the Congress stinks! It pains me, a scion of a die-hard Congress family, to find that sycophants and falsehood purveyors have reduced the once redoubtable Congress party to this sad state where it is at the bottom of India's political dung heap! Politicians stink and they are only good at dividing society for Vorebanks and power!
