Japan is getting aggressive in its dealing with China, to include statements by Japanese on Chinese soil.

The Japanese have real guts to do so in a country that is irrational, supremacist and not having a transparent and just legal system.

One cannot deny that if seen dispassionately, Japan was indeed challenging the western power.

It is a different matter that it was only changing the masters of China from Caucasian to Asian.

But in those days China had many masters.

The comment of one to this article is also interesting

It shows how China dreads Japan wherein the cannot take at face value what is said by a Japanese.

Japanese helped lift China out of colonial rule from countries like the U.S. then ate two atomic bombs from the U.S.

    What a touching story!

Actually, the popular version is that Japan enslaved China like the Western imperialists.

How many of the PRC people are working for Japanese brands and companies.

How many of the PRC people consume and have a choice to use Japanese brands and companies. (Best Global Brands | Brand Profiles & Valuations of the World’s Top Brands)

The PRC government is walking a thin-red line to make sure that the latter continues to be available to be a choice to the PRC people.

Also how about the PRC partner(s) to the company that the Japanese invested:

I am not sure if everyone in PRC will want to kick the Japanese out of PRC and also want to let go of their hands when they try to pull it away.

Its not the people and 1000 workers of PRC but the rich and heads of business in PRC that will decide what happens to Japanese investment and products in PRC. What will be the discussion between the Japanese partners and PRC partners for the above venture is more important compared to the 1000 workers anger. Obviously government and people of PRC they want the PRC industry develops faster that way there is no need for Japanese.

Will the 1000 workers go up to the PRC partners and demand them remove and close down the business with the Japanese.

But Japanese products and brands and people are not precarious they have much and many choices all over the world and one of them is India.

In India i am sure that there must have been issues with Japanese companies but they are labor and compensation related. But the above is purely xenophobic.

I am sure eventually the PRC government will coool such feelings down because at the end of the day business is business and there is a lot of people that rely on Japanese business especially the rich in PRC.

Actually sentiments of "down trodden" peoples of British colonies r understandable. Your Netaji Bose who collaborated with Japanese must hav felt whatever came your way could be better than old masters (Brits in your case), so did Aung Sang of Burma and Sukarno of Indonesia. In that instance Japanese for u folks were rightfully "liberators" whom many of Indians soliders switched their loyalty to against former lords. Indeed Japanese who shook Brit empire did contribute to your "independence" in a way.

Meanwhile I'm kinda sick of leftist cliche on "evil" imperialism or colonialism. That's of course incorrect. As a matter of fact India was endowed with lots of legacies - civilization, infra, legal sys. , democracy, English and so on, which u still benefit from today and r proud of. Without Brits an "India" culdnt even hv bn forged! Indians ought to remain grateful of so many things.

Western colonialism or imperialism shall be reviewed in a positive light.

    I wonder who were downtrodden?

Those mentioned by you or China, which was made a vassal by the Imperial powers and China claims have been massacred by an Asian country in Nanking. Of course, that is the Chinese version, but the Japanese who walked over them like real imperialists claim that it is figment of Chinese and imperialist imaginations.

Well, the Japanese did in a way hasten the Independence. It depends how one perceives history.

Indians are a very liberal and compassionate people. That is why we acknowledge the contributions of all including the British and the Moguls. Only jingos like the Chinese close their little mind and eyes and that is why Mao called the Chinese frogs in the well.
