Allowing them to be screwed by the US and EU on war crimes charges resulting in sanctions.

India having a good relationship with most of it's neighbors should be considered an essential part of our foreign policy - not the other way round.
Pakistan is a gone case - but Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Burma and even China (!!) can be our friends (frenemy).
Yet, I have a feeling that there are some members in DFI who think with their guts about Sri Lanka - they would rather shoot first and then ask questions ...

If they get close to China, that's not their damn fault ! You can't impose your will on a sovereign nation. It was India's shortsightedness that resulted in the Lankans drifting away. And why should they complain, when China is helping them upgrade infrastructure and bringing in investment into their economy. Only someone who is stupid won't allow Chinese investment when it is much required.

Sending MKIs will make India look as it is bullying its smaller neighbor and make a fool out of itself !
