well. S.korea's medias reports that if CHinese Guangdong Province were a independent country, its GDP now would rank 16th in the world, just a bit less than S.Korea and India's.

It reports that Guangdong's GDP is expected to surpass S.Korea in 2 years.

This is not true. For ultimately, Guangdong is not a nation. You still have 40% of your territory: your interior regions living in deep poverty.

Not so long ago (2003), measured in terms of per-capita income, Gujarat would be the richest state in Asia, if it were a state of its own. It still is growing at a healthy 11-12%.

Besides, I don't know how you call Guangdong's GDP "a bit" less than India's. Guangdong's GDP as of 2009, was $572.12 billion. India's GDP as of 2009 was $1.253 trillion. That's more than half !
