There exists no cultural animosity between India and China, unlike between India and Pakistan. Out of all the people in the world, it is only Pakistanis who are obsessively and pervasively anti-Indian; it is part of their ideology and identity. At the state level, there can definitely be friendly relations and even an alliance between India and China sometime in the future, because China is by no means inherently anti-Indian; however, the same will never be possible with Pakistan.

In fact, Chinese culture being a blend of Confucist-Buddhist philosophy and Indian culture being Dharmic (Hindu, Buddhist, Jain), both are much closer to each other than either is to fundamentalist Islam, aka Pakistan. China-Pak is merely a political alliance of convenience against India. The day China realizes that co-operation with India is of greater value than containment, the India-China relationship will be one of "natural allies", even more than the Indo-US!

IT is no comparable to india-pakistan.The roots of indo-pak conflict spans 1000 years in the brutal islamic imperialism over india.Another point is that no matter how much liberal a person is but somewhere in the subconscious he always know that creation of pakistan is the most biggest example of charlatantry,imperialism and back stabbing because muslims who came from far away land came and lived with us then converted several people sometimes under the sword and sometimes under the 'sufi charade' and we hindus lived with them peacefully as brothers.We gave respect to their religion and their way of life and then they demand a separate state carving our own bharat mata where we have lived for 5000 years and where all our culture and religion originates from!!!
