Sexual assaults against female in India are rampant, that is no secret. People have granted India the title as the heaven for rapists for quite a while, it's a worldwide consensus.
If Indian society had little tolerance, how could Indians treat women like second-class citizens? Why raping crimes against women on Indian. street are like wild fire, burning like hell?
It's reported only because the victim was murdered and what the rapists have done to the victim is beyond outrageous, which separates this case from other many cases and makes it perfect for headline on newspaper, not because Indian society has a wakening consciousness.
It's comforting that justice has been served in this case, but how about the other cases which are not so distinctive and cant make the headline?
Indian members here are afraid of statistics, because it always makes India look bad. without a doubt, statistics has its limits, but it's still the most accurate and scientific way to do research.
Anyway, let us forget about figures, let us just ask a simple question, do Indian female feel safe walking alone on Indian streets at night?
