What's the true India railway looks like, like this?
Let's the true journey begins
Not as crowded as we thought
But different class
People are quietly waiting
How long will train arrive?
Ladies are coming
1st pic is from Pakistan, 2nd I believe is a local train.
People are always patient
Finally, the train is approaching
Doesn't look as many people as the first two pictures
Indian people are very friendly. When you smile to them, they smile back
People sit quietly and calmly
But why have this guard?
Let's begin our India journey!
Looks like a prison car. Those bars cannot be good for evacuation.
There are emergency exit windows on either sides, they don't have fixed bars. Such windows have a grill that can be shifted up to exit in case of emergency.
But I'm not sure if its there in all trains and all compartments.
this lady is sitting next to emergency window, you can see it is without iron bar. you can also see the other window with iron bar.
that security guard is from Railway protection force, it duties is to protect railways property
err....at least improve the security of it.....
You want two guards in every compartment? No our people don't beat the railways furniture every now and then. I think its just enough.
By the way one reason that I could agree with for increasing the number of guards could be, to protect against possible dacoit attacks and the ruthless mobjacks that occur on some routes during huge government (secutiy forces specially) recruitment drives.
Correct me if I've misunderstood you. The phrasal langauage above left a lot to be desired in terms of appropriate writing at an internet forum.
