Chinese and Indian military experience

I was debating with my friend about a full scale war with China. He said India can't defeat china in the war. i said India can definitely give china a big headache as our soldiers are more experienced in battling in mountaineer areas. We have fought three wars against pakistan army in mountaineer areas so our soldiers know how to fight in tough areas of himalaya. Our Navy is also more experienced compared to PLAN as we have fought war against pakistan in 1971 and used our navy during Tsunami....He was not agree as he said that China has large quantity of military hardware + china doesn't disclose about his future military hardwares and expenditures on it. I said many of chinese military hardwares are outdated and our navy is far better than China's plan when it comes to quality.

i want you to share your knowledge / opinion, guys. Can we defeat china if a full scale war takes a place.

Looking at Present situation of Army hardware and Infrastructure..

The Answer is NO!



We do have Geo advantage in our defense..

So Our Defence is ok for present,



But it will be more strong when we have 155/52CAL guns and Light Tanks with Light class IFVs..

Not to explain abt new airbases..

I dont understand why the people are so untrust worthy of the govt and Armed forces.

The govt cant give each and every detail of our preparation.

The Armed forces will REVOLT if the govt was to be so careless

The armed forces know that it is THEIR LIVES that are on the line

Yes, Coz we know how to adapt, modify the situation for our own..
Eg: 1965 war, 1999 war, 1971 war, 1962 war..


All this wars Indian Army never had good hardware compare to its opponent..
Unfortunately it still going on and that`s what we need to be change..

Let us imagine for a MOMENT ,CPM LEADER Karat becomes PM

He wants to please the Chinese .He starts a financial squeeze on the Ministry of Defence, halts US ISRAELI weapons purchases

What HAPPENS NEXT

1 I Believe that the three service CHIEFS will give many many ANGRY statements that India's security is in great danger

2 The Chiefs write letters to the PM and release it to the media

3 Then BJP jumps in and congress who is supporting Karat also advises him

And Even then if govt ACTS AS DEAF and dumb then Armed forces will REVOLT

If we were REALLY so weak you would have attacked by now

We are reasonably well prepared YOUR govt knows it

well, one strait is between PRC and Taiwan but no strait is there between CHina and India. Besides, Taiwan is in fact protected by USA while India is not!

of course, the precondition of the scenario is "no nuke to be used". when nukes were used, no winner would appear.


BTW, maybe India arm force is preparing for a war against PLA,but PLA is just busy preparing for a war against USA.

if India continues to modernize its military for few more years, it would be only a dream for china to attack on us. Our navy has quality hardwares and is capable of preventing any chinese to sneak into indian ocean

we used poor quality of hardware during our battle to our opponent and we won.
our Navy is updating its fleets and Air Force will soon have MMRCA which will make us strong enough to look china eye to eye

your attempt of going for a war against usa means = huge economical loses. China is a big market to USA.

When on the view of the experience IA, let it be the British Raj Army or the Indian Army, people are well trained and well experienced, but i dont see that case with the PLA, where they got their a*s burnt in the Vietnam or be it the Japanese inasion of the Manchuria.

In today's scenario, PLA have a advantage i.e the Proganda made by them eg as their toys are best and some self-proclaimed politburo members doing the same. If people wait for another 5 years then IA will comes out of it transistion stage. Every countries army has a transistion stage and IA is undergoing that now. Larve out of its self-cage will come out in the flying colours.

it is not wise that you pay no attention to the Lee-enfield rifles used by Indian arm force while you pay so attention to the the old stock of PLA arms.
