Chinese frigate said to be disabled, drifting in Indian ocean

Online news outlet East Pendulum said Chinese Type 052D frigate DDG-173 CHANGSHA broke down in Indian ocean while en route to Baltic sea, to take part in joint China-Russia naval exercise Joint Sea 2017. East Pendulum is referring to an anonymous China military source. CHANGSHA, according to East Pendulum, suffered propulsion failure and is drifting since at least June 26, with replenishment ship LUOMAHU (Qiandaohu-class or Type 903, displacement 23.400) nearby. A Chinese squadron to take part in Baltic sea exercises (which exercises already stirred some fears in Baltic States – Voytenko Mikhail), therefore, is reduced to frigates Hefei and Yuncheng only.

Stop laughing you ignorant backward indians. It's not stuck it's some secret super advance Chinese technology which you can't understand. :bounce:

It's so advance that it seems like it's stuck just as j20 is super stealthy so they never show it to anyone:hehe:

They swapped it with another one in exercise with russians. Quality may be poor but as they say there is a certain quality in quantity. In needs to stop ordering 3-4 destroyers and frigates and go for 6 min.

Sigh... the Chinese fleet just passed the North Sea yesterday onward to the Baltic Sea inclusive with the 052D destroyer. A lot of people being duped by the July 9 report.

And that may have broken down too! Lol!

Emerging supah powah my ass!
LoL. What kind of break down was this that the onboard Chief engineer couldn't fix? This must mean that the engine was way too fucked to be repaired or a major engine part must have got damaged. Secondly, the on board engineering team sucks.

052D DDG173 Changsha spotted returning to port at Hainan Naval Base yesterday. (credits to [浩汉原创] 曾经的偶遇)

As can be noted in the images above, shes travelling under her own power and is NOT in the Indian Ocean. DDG173 apparently never left the South China Sea as noted by the same site quoted in your article. eastpendulum.com

Whilst in the mean time, the task force headed by DDG174 Hefei, sailing for drills with the Russian Navy in the Baltic passed through the North Sea a week ago, escorted by Dutch frigate HNLMS Van Amstel.:
