India believes that China has a flotilla of rouge ships disguised as fishing vessels and hydrological data collection ships which are already being actively used to target ships of other countries. As China attempts to consolidate its might in Southeast Asia, India remains deeply suspicious of its neighbor's design in the South China Sea. So does India need to recalibrate its look east policy? On March 8, 2009, the Impeccable was 75 miles south of Hainan, China, when it was shadowed by five Chinese ships: a Bureau of Maritime Fisheries Patrol Vessel, a State Oceanographic Administration patrol vessel, a People's Liberation Army Navy ocean surveillance ship, and two Chinese-flagged naval trawlers, which maneuvered close to the Impeccable, with two closing in to 50 feet (15 m), waving Chinese flags, and ordering the Impeccable from the area.

When it was trying to leave the area, however, the two Chinese trawlers dropped pieces of wood in the Impeccable's path and stopped directly in front of it, forcing it to do an emergency stop to avoid a collision.Once the Impeccable got underway, the crew aboard one of the trawlers used a grappling hook to try to snag Impeccable's towed sonar array.

Our experiences from Japanese and Vietnamese sea : In reality this "fishing ship" is a disguised military ship (sailor armed with light weapons inside) which used as a hinder, provoker. It's acted like a "kamikaze" . Should be calmed when saw it until you can't sustain more and ...you are the first man to shoot and you are falled into their trap ! Yeah, I highly doubt there will be any attacks on Indian trawlers by Chinese ships. We live in the 21st century and not in the 16th century (Golden Age of Piracy).
