Well, this once again proves that Philippine is quite a belligerent and dangerous country.

PLAN need to reinforce the presence in that area, just in case the Philippines get insane and do the same horrible things to fishmen from mainland.

If Taiwan stops hiring Filipino workers, should not China follow suit?

After all, they claim that Taiwan is a part of China, surely PRC cannot let Taiwan show greater patriotism than Communist Chinese, can they?

Not many Filipinos are being hired in mainland, though some are working as maid in Shanghai.

Besides, Beijing has more means to retaliate, such as halting the import of bananas from Philippine, which has been proved to effective.

Hong Kong is a part of China, right?

Filipino maids or fei yung (菲傭), or bun mui (賓妹) and bun bun (賓賓) are said to be around 140,000.

hahaha wow the chinese imperials love to write lies about to make themselves look good an try to get some global sympathy like this never happen to them remember Russian Coast guard shooting chinese vessels in Russian waters the Imperials try to poach in? i know in this case it was taiwan but still the same this chinese poacher are criminals they came to our waters to fish illegally but let first tell you what happen before you get convince by some stupid attempt by the chinese both commies mainlanders and the nationalist imperials first they were caught as usual fishing in the Philippines waters in waters of Batanes in fact its province near to taiwan undisputed Philippines waters we send small Coast Guard man BFAR ( Bureau of fishery and Aquatic resources ship) but still operated by the coast guard so it has SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) As main gun For Law Enforcement work but its actually a civilian speed boat its mission was to patrol batanes province island because its province made by small islands find it in google for the non chinese Imperials anyway when they were spotted the PCG vessel radio to stop and prepare to be inspected and to halt but they continue on speed and them ramming speed i guess the Taiwanese were trying to ram the boat thinking it was noting but stupid government ship but they forgot that it was also a PCG vessel and since its mission is for maritime law Enforcement its armed as in procedure they warn again the ship to cut its engines and stop but the ship ignore the order its speeds up as part of procedure after radio and signal calls was ignore and since the ship was getting close and at ramming speed the order was to shoot the engine room to stop the ship probably the guy was in the engine room when the shooting started reminder this a small speed boat made out light materials aluminum etc and the Taiwanese fishing vessel is made out steal which if you think the PCG allow themselves to be ram the ship would sink easily and do you think the Taiwanese Imperials will help them hell no this tactic is not new they did before way back in 2012 a filipino banka (even smaller than the PCG vessel) fishing vessel was ram by chinese ship according to maritime law they should offer assistance if they could or report it to the PCG since the waters was near in the Philippines but said vessel just ignore them out the eight fishermen aboard, four were plucked out of sea and but one of them died in a hospital of that small fish boat only one service to tell his story and this according to majority of Filipino Fishermen is a common tactic use by all chinese ships they really think they can go in people waters with impunity well the PCG boys show them i find it funny after stealing our resources and ignoring our laws and they had the nerved to ram our ships and our ship acted to protect itself unfortunately some died though but still they have the nerved to be angry and demand things from us? gago ba kayo? its like a theft who came at you at night points a gun at but you have your own and shot him and the police station his asking to go to jail for shooting him for the Non chinese forumers here question do find it funny that this arrgont jerks had the nerved to demand form us while its their arrogance and stupidity that got that man killed in the first place what do you think? In any case i would to say this pugay kamay (salute) sa mga taohan ng Hukbong Bantay Dagat ng Pilipinas (Philippine Coast Guard)

Here's a statement of the Philippine Coast Guard make things clear:

opposition and the media to take action, with the Philippines refusing to apologize and saying the coast guard was tackling illegal fishing.

Philippine Coast Guard spokesman Commander Armand Balilo said the incident took place in Philippine waters and the Filipino personnel had been properly carrying out their duties to stop illegal fishing.

“If somebody died, they deserve our sympathy but not an apology,” Balilo told reporters.

Hung’s son has insisted that the boat did not cross into Philippine waters.

Zero_wing, politic and land dispute aside. Just to be frank, do you believe a 13m long boat made of glass fiber is going to ram a much larger boat? You are doubting your own IQ. The shooting was without warning, and the ships has at least 51 bullet mark. How many warning shot do you need to fire directly at humans?

Think again, a glass fiber boat ramming large patrol boat with machine guns... Wow, you must invent some type of logic to explain this.

The boat was not operating in Philippine territorial water when the shooting happened, therefore, the so called Philippine law enforcement vessel had no legitimacy to enforce any law there.

Philippines fired upon the small ship without giving any warning, and pursued the ship for hours while opening fire.

The Taiwanese ship is very small, no way that they would choose to collide with a much bigger ship, for what? If Philippines were firing for self protection, why didnt they stopped firing when the fishing ship was running away, instead they pursued and kept on shooting?

Sir again the PCG vessel is small speed boat tell me if your facing vessel bet on ramming you? you use all the know forms of communication which the coast guard uses unlike you guys you have no course of action but to shoot compare to the fishing vessel the PCG vessel is small in fact so small that if the PCG allows its self to be ram it create big punch on the hull it will sink for sure and asking about IQ at less we know were our territories are why are you chinese imperial from the mainland and Taiwanese poacher Criminals always get lose what everything is china now the PCG boys did there duty as mandate by the Constitution and International Maritime laws you have no business in our waters you nothing more than criminals stealing resources thinking weak not to challenge your evil acts but this shows you! and why are speaking from them? taiwan is not going to fold to the illegal government of dictatorship of the one party system so get over yourselves in fact let them speak and i will answer them! you chinese are nothing but arrogant jerks as the PCG says we offers our sympathies but no apology you can get your apology when hell freezes over you jerks

Dark blue: Philippines territorial water + EEZ
    Green: Disputed EEZ

    Certainly the Taiwanese boat has intrude Philippines undisputed EEZ;

Shooting illegal vessels inside one EEZ is not something uncommon, especially if the intrusion is on non-disputed area.
Just last one to two years ago several Chinese neighbors also shoot Chinese crewmen. The respond was relatively "mild" than this~

Bullshit, the incident took place within 220 miles from Taiwan, it is not the EEZ of Philippines.

Firing upon unarmed civilian ship without any warning is very serious crime, not to mention you pursued and kept firing in that process.

I guess it is time to call the bankruptcy of that self defense theory.

You should also know that it happened in our Taiwan province, no need to explain what Taiwan is, and you have the nerve to act as a liar, claiming that you open fired for self defense while you were murdering unarmed civilian fishmen.

Haha, wow you monkeys who are from a country that steals, kills and lies, accuse others of doing what you have done?

    Hahaha!
