another 'old' fellow of PLAN destroyer fleet -- the DDG136 , the first of four Sovremenny-class has just finished a 3- year mid-life overhaul and upgrade after 15 years active service in east sea fleet.
the Fregat is also replaced by the Type382/Sea Eagle S/C...there were 8 sets of Fregat in the Navy (4 sets on Project 956, 2 on Type 51C, 2 on Type 52B). ...now seven left and it would phasing out in the MLU of these vessels , the next one will go is on the DDG137...her MLU is about to begin.

Nope....She will be handed over to Cambodia as the reliable source said. she joined in Navy in 1994 and had a complete maintenance/overhaul record during her 24 years active service. it might be able to serve another two decadesPLAN Ship of the day: FFG542 Tongling, the last of the Type 053H2G class
The first three were transferred to the China Coast Guard in 2015. Now with her equipment removed, it seems that she will be joining her three sisters shortly.
