I think you are the one smoking!
In 2009, when chinese navy fleet was heading to India ocean, guess who provided harbour? Singapore!
Guess who is the biggest buyer of chinesee military equipment in SE Asea! Tailand!
Guess who just sign the contract asking China to do the maintaining work of its Sukhoi fighters? Indonisia!
That doesn't prove shit....we import sugar and other cheap stuff from pakistan - that does not make us stop from killing these terrorists; we also had a big market for cheap Chinese copy cat products (sometime back, now its all dried up, due to poor life and quality) that will not stop us from hitting back if china goes into foolish misadventure mode.....similarly, the above mentioned nations will pay-back the Vietnam way!!

of course even China herself buys from Russia. Pls keep on selling, and selling more that'll be channelled to China too. Forget China is the world's top copycat?
We are talking about China's military relations with ASEAN, not about selling weapons to China to be copycatted.

I think you are the one still smoking. Taking harbour in a port on your way home from an anti-piracy mission doesn't mean political sway, it shows your lack of military projection power. PLAN vessels operating off of Somalia have to refuel at a French base, that means you have to beg for ports.

Guess who is the biggest buyer of chinesee military equipment in SE Asea! Tailand!
Thailand bought some frigates 20 years ago which they armed with US engines, combat, and weapon systems. The sales for all ships were worth $370 million to China. That is the biggest you have because you don't sell much!

Can't argue with that. Interesting to see if WW3 starts if China acts aggressively in South China Sea :D

Was it a naval flotila going to attack the country ? NO . It was a routine movement of ship and it might have stopped there for some supplies. and how does that prove that Singapore is a friend of china and support chinese actions in south china sea.

so what ? is Thailand only country in Asia? moment you claim one of their Island as well and they will be looking for your blood.
Guess who just sign the contract asking China to do the maintaining work of its Sukhoi fighters? Indonisia!
Any proof for that ?

Let us hope that it never happens. I actually abstain from using or speculating on the very term - "World War".
Reality of these 2 words is very horrifying and with the kind of war machinery available today, majority of the nations could be wiped off in a matter of days.
The farther we are from that day, the better it is for everyone.

Apologies for the misunderstanding mate, but I was being exaggerative. In reality; most countries whether ASEAN, western, or otherwise will probably have a say in Chinas rush to explore oil in the region, and I think a compromise will be made somehow.

You're right. Infact there was a post on this forum regarding Phillippines going to start oil exploration near an island disputed between 4-5 countries including China and ASEAN members while China was giving indirect vibes.
This topic would soon be much hotter in international politics.

That is partially true; China responded by sending ships of its own to expel the Phillipines in their own part of that ocean, which could be seen as an act of aggression. We'll see how it pans out, but so far it's not looking good for the PRC.

Yes, providing a port doesn't mean to be a friend, but it shows that Singapore is not necessary an anti-sino country.
