China Flies Its Largest Ever Drone: The Divine Eagle | Popular Science

One of the main "eyes" of China's A2/AD system of systems...

By placing these capabilities on an unmanned platform, China sidesteps the need to train experienced AE&W pilots and aircrews while leveraging the strengths of its domestic drone industry (now the world's largest by revenue). China could conceivably churn out dozens of these drones each year without needing a proportional rise in aircrew; if this drone needs 10 hours of maintenance for every hour of flight (the ratio of the RQ-180), then each new Chinese drone pilot could fly 5-8 drones on a rotating basis from a single command center.

Pretty much, and its radar signature will be much, much smaller than a conventional AWACS thanks to a fuselage that does not need to house human beings.

And is not limited by crew fatigue (a major limitation of awacs). Smart, very smart.
