China is continuing to increase its purchases of Japanese debt, showing its desire to diversify away from the US dollar:

China Buys Japan’s Long-Term Debt for Eighth Consecutive Month - Businessweek

The US dollar is destined to go down the tubes. Why isn't India similarly purchasing more Japanese bonds, the way China is?
Because if our government had such a strategic and far-sighted vision, I don't think any financial issues such as inflation, rising costs and rising scams would be there in first place. The whole point of buying these debts is to diversify from US dollars. Chinese have the biggest itch right now since they have a humungous debt in dollars. If the US threatens to quash its value, CCP would be simply sitting on pile of paper.

OTOH our reserves though decent are nowhere close to what Chinese have.
