Till now it never happened. How come it did? This is an intentional attempt as there are many paki wannabes in our country especially the "liberal" types.

I tell you people, this is what happens when scum like Romila Thapar and her breed get to rewrite our history, culture and geography.

CBSE commits faux pas, calls PoK 'Azad J&K' in map

    CNN-IBN

New Delhi: In a major faux pas, a new CBSE textbook for class three in an Army school in Srinagar depicts the map of Jammu and Kashmir exactly how Pakistan claims it to be.

The map reportedly calls the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir region, 'Azad Jammu and Kashmir', a term used by Pakistan to describe the region.

The Gilgit-Baltistan region, which is a part of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, is called the Northern areas

Might be an honest mistake. Seriously, how many people outside defense forums even know the terms POK, LOC etc.

It can't be. Before a course book is printed it goes past eyes of many people who are paid solely for correcting mistakes. It's not a case of silly look-over or mistake, it is serious case of dereliction of duty on part of not just a person but a team.

Seriously Oracle this is sheer ignorance. FYI Defense forums are nothing but hang-out place for wannabees and nothing else. One can call it modern day derivative of Chai-ka-Adda.

You people are making a big fuss out of it and for no reason.

This is not the first time i saw the PoK as part of P**kistan. I have seen it even in some of the CON-my-ASS posters for election campaigns. If you really think this is the first time you must be living inside a cave for the past several years:nod:. i Myself saw some of the election campaign posters like that:tsk:

Any who here is what i could find on the matter

Rahulji, I am on forums since 2008, however I do knew these things beforehand. What I meant is there are many underprivileged people who don't have internet access or live in remote parts of India where simply having a cell imparts high social stature.

Ignorance? Maybe, maybe not. I am here because I like politics, National & International.

But I do agree that this should be investigated. What I don't concur with is instant vigilante justice kind of posts. It might be a mistake, it might be sabotage. Cannot say it right now, can we? Or you are privy to information no one else knows.

If some one writing the books for the future generation makes a "Honest" mistake like this, it either shows how "good " and "efficient" the book authors are, or it shows they are Puki Wannabes:gun:

Now pick your choice. I will go with the later.

True that there are plenty of such traitors in India,
having significant influence on education system.
However I'm surprised that this hue and cry on cbse books.
Look at icse books for class 6! Not a single map of india is shown correctly.
Entire kashim is highlighted as disputed and in some of the maps it shows part of kashmis as part of Pakistan.
Authors are Tapati Das Gupta and Kanxhan Churiwala- History and civics for class VI
