CBI 'raids' Delhi CM Kejriwal's office

Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has claimed that his office in the Delhi Secretariat has been raided by the CBI on Tuesday. Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of "political vendetta", the Aam Aadmi Party leader called him a "coward" and a "psychopath" on Twitter. Here are the top 10 developments:

    1.
"CBI raids my office," the first tweet from Kejriwal said. "When Modi (could not) handle me politically, he resorts to this cowardice," Kejriwal said in another tweet.

    2.
Fifteen minutes later, he tweets again: "Modi is a coward and a psycopath (sic)."

    3.
The CBI, which comes under the Centre, has denied Kejriwal's claims and said the raids were conducted at principal secretary Rajendra Kumar's office and residence.

    4.
"CBI has registered a case against Rajendra Kumar, secretary to CM Delhi on the allegation of abusing his official position by favouring a particular firm in the last few years in getting tenders from Delhi government departments," the CBI spokesperson said, adding that it had the warrants for the raid.

    5.
But Kejriwal and his party leaders contested that claim and said the investigating agency was not revealing the truth.

    6.
"CBI lying. My own office raided. Files of CM office are being looked into. Let Modi say which file he wants?" Kejriwal said.

    7.
I am the only CM who dismissed, on my own, a minister and a senior officer on charges of corruption and handed their cases to the CBI, Kejriwal said.

    8.
"If CBI had any evidence against Rajender, why didn't they share it with me? I would have acted against him," Kejriwal said while referring to Kumar, secretary to Delhi CM.

    9.
"The chief minister's office has not been raided. The raid has nothing to do with Arvind Kejriwal or his tenure. There is a corruption case against an officer of Delhi government. The raid is in relation to that officer. It is the officer (office) that has been searched," Jaitley said in Rajya Sabha amid noisy protests by opposition members.

    10.
"CBI is an independent organisation. The government does not interfere at all. How can you criticize the central government and the prime minister? PM has nothing to do with this," Union minister Venkaiah Naidu said, slamming Kejriwal's charges.

Kejri always wants to be in a limelight. isn't it?

If he hasn't done anything wrong, why is he whining and crying like a bitch?

Being CM of a state, he doesn't even use a civilised language on social platform and calls PM a psychopath

    What a looser

Ek raid mein hi hath mein aa gayi jii .

Such a shame that CM is publicly insulting PM.
Moron knew of his own principal secretary's corruption still did not do anything. Instead they fought with the IAS Officer who complained.

somehow i feel Kujliwala & his leftist anti national gang is winning over Modi & India.

High time BJP starts playing politics or else they will soon lose the narrative. I wish someone from DFI becomes BJP spokesperson to pull them off from this current shit.

This particular scene will cost AK more than BJP, even his paid trolls don't comment on his today's remarks. You can clearly see the way Barkha Dutt is covering the shit and showing hypocrisy openly, even Surf Excel doesn't give such washing. People can actually tell what's going on.

If his last tenure as CM and all those stings & disreputed MLA's couldn't dent him, this will make him only more popular among a certain fanbase. Don't forget, there are people who want to oppose Modi for the sake of it, moral high ground does not matter to them. AAP is a personality cult.

With opposition having decided to not co-operate with govt, Modi has nothing to loose.
He must go after the corrupt people in other parties and put them to sword.

Anything less would be a huge disappointment.

The fanboys are none other than our old Congoons, they would take no time to switch their sides. I have seen some people who opposed Modi when AAP wasn't created but maintained that they don't support Congress, such people saw Messiah in Kejru and became aapiya in no time. They're getting as many back lashes now , I tell you, AAP won because Congoons' votes transferred to it, same would happen in Punjab. BJP needs to keep its Voter base intact, the long term loser is Congress and Congress won't let that happen, in next election it will unit with AAP and fight against BJP or Kejru would become larger than life and try to screw them. If BJP doesn't do anything stupid, it can easily fk around both parties by doing good work and exposing the hypocrisy. I would say go after this chutya and Gandhis shamelessly, they're not doing anything good for India. Modi would be all in, he must do some compromises in future but better not these idiots come to power and that's why I support him and tell the RW critics that you're not doing anything good by opposing Modi, he knows what he is doing, he will fulfill RW promises but not in near future, let him work.

You are correct Rajendra Kumar is an honest IAS who has only taken bribes worth a few crores maybe 10 Cr on the face of it (more need to be ascertained)! CBI in fact has no proof except various frauds he has done by opening up benami companies!

Is it sarcasm or a serious post ?? Because an HONEST IAS officer don't have property of 10cr in cash. Corruption is corruption, 1 rupee or 10cr., it doesn't matter. CBI got 7 complains from ACB in July 2015, they even questioned Rajendra Kumar in this regard 6 days before raiding his offices. AK didn't act against his aide despite repeated complaints against him so when he said that CBI should share evidence with him ( which is totally moronic itself), it doesn't hold the ground as he knew about it and didn't do anything, he even transferred the person who raised the matter at ACB.

NEW DELHI: Ashish Joshi is today known more as the complainant against IAS officer Rajendra Kumar than as a bureaucrat handpicked by the AAP government to be member secretary of the Delhi Dialogue Commission.

An Indian Post & Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service (IP & TAFS) officer, Joshi first moved the LG-appointed ACB chief MK Meena to probe Kumar for irregularities in his previous postings.

On Tuesday, CBI was acting on this complaint forwarded to it by ACB.

Joshi's latest innings with the Delhi government began much before AAP formed government.

He was posted as member, finance, in the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) serving on deputation from his parent Central government department. Joshi proactively monitored the digitisation of DUSIB operations.

This February, when the AAP government took charge, little-known Joshi was much talked about when Arvind kejriwal's think tank — Delhi Dialogue Commission (DDC) — decided to have him as member secretary.

Ashish Khetan, the AAP official behind framing the 70-point agenda that went into the party manifesto, was supposedly behind Joshi's choice. The DDC got its name from the Delhi Dialogues AAP had held to frame its manifesto. Joshi held a critical position in DDC as member secretary. Kejriwal is chairman of this 9-member body and Khetan vice-chairperson.

Soon, Joshi and Khetan fell out. Joshi wrote to the CM, LG and chief secretary claiming he had been humiliated by DDC, AAP volunteers and senior functionaries.

Joshi alleged Khetan wanted to appoint some AAP volunteers to DDC, but he wanted DDC to have an independent team appointed through regular selection. A red-faced government rejected Joshi's assertions.

Soon, Joshi was sacked from DDC and repatriated to his parent department. Just when AAP thought the episode had ended, Joshi surfaced as the complainant against Rajendra Kumar.

Sorry but i didn't understand your post!!Whom you're trying to criticize here,Mr.Modi or Mr.Kejriwal??If you mean the former then i must tell you that you do have a myopic view in this entire matter but if the criticism is directed towards the latter person i will totally support your view in this regard!!

Sir,are you serious or were you being a bit sarcastic in the above post of yours!!Rajendra Kumar has got multiple complaints against him of bribery and nepotism,so the CBI in this case was just following the standard protocol. It's a mere co-incidence that this officer used to sit in the CMO of Delhi but then again if we are to believe the media Mr.Kejriwal had already been warmed by multiple institutions against appointing Mr.Kumar as the Chief Secretary!!

Jaitley being targeted may perhaps be the best thing that has happened..

This guy needs to be cornered and if possible kicked out of the govt.
