I saw this bias towards India, Russia, Israel etc.

Mostly on a prominent brit media they have a hate towards Indias achievements.
Everytime Indians make an advancement in technology , the closing paragraph of that article speaks about lack of toilets in India and Brits obsession with toilets.

The best part is the more criticism we get the more correctional measures we take, the more dilusional the Brits turn their people into with their media, they resemble more like our Western neighbour
i get a point, the brits are very very very obsessed with toilets so much so that they have started building their bars and casinos in toilet....you see people with that attitude live in toilets and die in a commode.

An example about Brazil:

Brazil's female population reaps World Cup benefits | Daily Mail Online

"At least Brazil's women have scored! Host nation's female population, which greatly outnumbers the men, reaps the benefits of the World Cup with so many football fans arriving"

Look at the contradictions in that article :

They're handsome, sweet, humble and generous,' Moitinho said as her friends grabbed hold of the Italian's hips to lead him in samba's hallmark sway.
'They respect women and don't come on strong like Brazilian men, who just grab on to you and try to kiss you right away. They're much more gentlemanly.'

Catia Santiago, a 35-year-old single mother, agreed.
'I've never had the money to travel, so I thought all men were like Brazilians — very fast, very aggressive,' Santiago said as she soaked in the rays on Copacabana beach.

Brazilian newspapers have run stories with local women complaining about foreigners' wandering hands and sense of entitlement.

==============================

This kind of reporting would one make seem that Brazil is full of easy but poor women waiting to be wooed by foreigners or be picked up as hookers.

You decide if this kind of reporting is really innocent/neutral or not.
So much for Brits Gentlemanly reporting and media maturity .
Is the BRICS nations on the radar of brit media.?

So it is a matter of confirmation bias, confirmation bias is basically interpreting any kind of information to fit his/her view of things. Unfortunately In the case of Brits it is an entire country.

I would say confirmation bias can be cured. Since in this case it is a whole country it takes a large co-ordinated effort to change these opinions. Then again india as a country has other priorities to worry about at this point in time, for now let them be we can get back to it later.

Who knows? All that matters is ratings, specific stereotyping and slanderous headlines especially when reporting about other countries.

Dailymail in particular is notorious for such reporting. Other Brit news sources also do it but in a subtle yet obvious manner.

It could be that , every time Indians make an advancement in technology or defence or mature political policies;such news makes them brits, so upset that , they get a constipated face and leaky arse.

We will have to wait and see if this attitude from Brits continues after 2017, 2017 because it is 2015 and two more years. 2015 is the year they are officially stopping that peanuts of aid to india and I am assuming it takes atleast two years for them to forget about the aid.

Just curious, before I jump to conclusions. Is it that British media writes such articles about all countries or some countries or targeted countries?

Anyone who has tracked this topic is welcome to answer.

As Indians it is natural that we bother only about articles written about india, I want to find out if there is pattern to what British media reports.
Other targets are Russians, Chinese. Also sometimes Venezuelans, Argentinians, Brazilians.

Using a toilet is something most people take for granted - but about 1.1 billion people around the world defecate in the open because they do not have access to proper sanitation. Now a scheme in India is aiming to instil better toilet habits in children by "paying them to poo"

http://www.bbc.com/news/health-33980904

Glad to see you fighting sanitation problems ;)

People who live in the slums of Chandoliya in Ahmedabad use the railway tracks to do what most would do only in private, especially early in the morning before the crowds and the heat develop.

"We've made public toilets but people still don't use them," said Anil Prajapati, chairman of the Gujarat Sanitation Development Organisation.

"Some of these people fear that there are witches inside or that their children will be kidnapped.

"These people have come from small villages, and so they are not used to the practice.

THIS IS HILARIOUS, HOW DO THE BRITS DARE? THEY HAVE NO SHAME...

During his address to Indian diaspora in the US and other foreign countries, our Prime Minister never shied away from talking about India's Toilet Problem.

India is facing this sanitation issue, no doubt about it, but when the British Media concludes an article about India's Space Mission with a mention of "lack of toilets" and "British Aid" then it reeks of "bad intent" and mostly "jealousy".

In that case your media must conclude a positive report on UK's economy with a mention of Infanticide and Child Sex Grooming Pandemic in the UK.

im sorry but hey its freedom of speech. if someone in india did something worth publishing then we will publish it in a picture that has not been manipulated. we do the same to any country in which an event accrues.
also the weird thing i dont get is that the daily mail gives india the most crap. yet india has a daily mail franchise.

Do you know what this obsession did? It made many Indians aware of the fact that every year UK registers larger number of Rape Cases than India, a woman in London is 10 times more likely to get raped than in Delhi, the shameless British media reports sexual assault cases in India and hides own dirt. This is not freedom, this is called hypocrisy.

Majority of Indians, and when I say majority it means 99.9999...% consume news from Indian sources, may be the British Media is suffering a credibility crisis. There was a time, just few decades ago when Indians were so fond of BBC and now hardly anybody knows about it.

Tell me how many "Indian" publishers do you see in the list. Arrange the list in order of rank and tell me the names of the top two.

not surprised as india's populations is more than 10 times bigger than ours. and indian's reading indian papers and not other papers may be because indian papers cover topics that concern them.

Why don't you read stats prepared by the United Nations?

UK: 85,000 rapes, 27.7/1000000 population
India: 24,923 rapes, 1.8/100000 population

Congratulations, you beat us. UK is Numbaah One.

Update: I said 10 times, actually a British woman is 15 times more likely to be raped than an Indian woman.

that figure is only for reported cases only. and its very unlikely that a rape is reported in india. its like a drop from the sea. people in the uk report it asap, and we always apprehend and prosecute the offender resulting jail time.

That is your assumption, the numbers are reality. As far as conviction rate is concerned, India shines again (around 24% vs around 7% in UK).
