Couple of years ago Ratan Tata had remarked that one Minister had asked him for a bribe to be allowed to start an airlines in co-operation with Singapore airlines and that he'd refused. Speculation at that time was it was controversial Karnataka politician CM Ibrahim, then Aviation Minister under PM Deve Gowda . CM Ibrahim is currently a senior leader in state Congress.

Obstructing Bangalore International Airport in his hometown Bangalore is a very bad case of obstructionism. This airport became functional around 4 years ago, it would have been very useful if it had been constructed in late 90's. Politicians... :toilet:

Common knowledge that CM Ibrahim scuttled the Airport project. One of the worst ministers. Well when the PM himself was a waste back then, could not expect a better cabinet.

Spot on, all those guys were nonsense politicians. Yet such people still get voted back into power. Look at Deve Gowda and clan - most corrupt family, yet in Bangalore `Kumaranna` still holds sway.
