mate, I know it is good to develop a relation with pakis
.
but look at past
.
in jan 2009, indian cricket team was to visit pak for tour when all world was fearing , then occur the terror attack of 26/11
.
there were friendly talks between govt , there army killed our soldiers and shamefully cut head of dead bodies
.
whenever there is friendly talks, there is attack on india
.
the priorities of them is terrorism, polio etc.
.
what they want is india should be their enemy cause if there is friendly talks , the importance of their army will decrease, and pakis army won't gonna make it happen

Animosity based on past incidents is there on both sides ..... But diplomatic channels always offer hope and is also a right way forward.

Just like Iran - Iraq , North South Korea, USA - Russia.

this type of enmity is there through out history in various regions in this world, not a unique one but a bitter enmity. There are ways to overcome and there is scope for talks.

Pakistan is an unique country. For us, it is not like any other normal country.

None of the above mentioned countries have sent 10 jihadis into each other's country to kill 150 civilians. Nor has any of them beheaded a soldier of another country in peace time.

People should remember that Pakistan is a terrorist country that uses terrorism as foreign policy. It is not an ordinary nation.

This is good move bjp is being labeled as an aggressive nationalistic Hindu party.
This is a goodwill gesture. If this label is kept others will exploit it to arm pakistan
And push for a war.
i personally think it is a good move.

also india is the dominant force of the SAARC region. further nawaz needs to be offered the opportunity to show he is "in-charge".
This is too much from BJP. Instead they should have called Putin Or Obama or Ban-Ki-Moon
People should remember that Pakistan is a terrorist country that uses terrorism as foreign policy. It is not an ordinary nation.
Overall it's a good move ie. inviting all SAARC leaders.

MODI knows what he is doing. He is no fool or short sighted/blind or remote controlled like pathetic MMS.

It's a good move to involve all the neighbors and send them a message of collaboration and friendship. Now the onus is on the others to reciprocate in the same manner. It's a good start and shows he gives SAARC nations importance.

In this way MODI is:-
  1. Being the biggest and strongest SAARC member sending a friendship and collaboration message to all regional partners ie SAARC.
  2. He could have invited Putin and Obama etc but he invited neighbors ie. SAARC to give them more importance for this occasion.
  3. Putting Ganja Badmash in a difficult situation since Pak Army would not like it.Pak Army is fuming the day BJP won.
Showing India wants friendship with Pakistan.
  4. If Ganja Badmash didn't come it would make Pakistan separated a bit from SAARC.
  5. Putting salt on those Pakis who burn with just the name of MODI.

btw just heard that Ganja Badmaash would not come and send a lower level minister. So that's a sign that he is not in power but controlled by Army/ISI and he is not keen on friendship with India and just want to continue cross-border-terrorism.

I used to be just like you but then i realized.

India-Pakistan is a unique situation as unlike any other country we are engaged in a proxy war on us all the time by Pakistan, where we are losing innocent lives and soldiers due to it all the time.

In Pakistan the army enjoy unlimited power dwelling on the fear of India. The day there is peace army will lose all its power and luxuries it enjoys because of it.And no general in his sane mind would want this unless he is a saint or gandhian.

Talks would and have not helped in all these years, what we need to do is to make the cost of supporting terrorism so high for Pakistan that even their army find it hard to continue without losing their luxury and comfort ,only then Pakistan would behave, if the cost of supporting terrorism is higher than what they can tolerate maintaining their comforts.

Although not practical but believe me if Pakistan is nuked, then not only India but whole world would be more peaceful place to live.As Pakistan is a big breeding ground for all type of terrorism.

Pakistan uses blackmail psychosis(nukes) with us and we need to counter it with fear psychosis(strong retaliation) .

Today's Intellectual Mafia argument:

Fascist Modi is out to conquer SAARC. But being a fascist Hindu, will do Ashwamedha Yogya first.

Re: BJP to invite Nawaz Sharif and other leaders for oath taking cerem

And how is Nawaz Sharif such a big deal that the news headlines only focuses on him?

We as a country need to grow up and start to see ourselves as a global player and not just limited to a country like Pakistan. Let us get out of the mindset that our diplomacy is limited to Pakistan. There are other countries in the region, and there is already enough chatter in the Chinese media that Indo-Sino economic relations are set to cozy up, a first coming from the Chinese media. Imagine the kind of blow it will serve to Pakistan if India-China grow closer to each other economically.

As I see things, India is set to take a big leap economically over the next decade or more, and if Pakistan is not interested in being a part of this process, it is entirely their fault, let us leave them alone to deal with their pains. The free lunches from the MMS' era are a thing of past, Pakistan will have to reciprocate and only then expect benefits. Let us give Pakistan and Pakistanis a break!

With this big leap, undoubtedly the economic integration will happen with the immediate neighbourhood, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Iran, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Nepal will all become a significant part of this with enough economic dependency created, which can later be used as a diplomatic tool.

With all the writings appearing on the print media, India seems headed to significant investments coming in from Japan, and China, and if we are able to tap just these two sources properly, we are definitely talking about trillions of dollars of investments.

The other, Modi's first visit over seas will be the BRICS summit in Brazil, two things come out of it. Don't expect big bang, high on headline and low on content visits, like the mush hyped state visit of MMS to the US when Obama took over, the other, there seems a definite attempt at growing stronger ties with the others minus the west, if done, this will be a complete reversal of the decade old policy where India had subordinated to the US significantly.

Expect a lot of give and take in relations where the UPA allowed freeloading literally, and much more friendlier relations where the UPA seemed hesitant.

Every SAARC member country has accepted the invitation. PLM-N has confirmed but official confirmation from PMO Pak is awaited.
