NEW DELHI: After L K Advani, dissenting voices within the BJP continue to ring unabated with its mouthpiece today expressing dismay over the reported leadership tussle and sharp divisions in some of the state units.

Seeking to downplay the issue, BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said it was not fair to "create a story out of nothing".

In an editorial in its latest edition, Kamal Sandesh referred to the recent developments in BJP-ruled Karnataka and Gujarat as also Rajasthan where it is the main opposition.

"Some of the happenings in BJP ruled Karnataka and Gujarat along with BJP Rajasthan have deeply hurt the sentiments of the common people. The BJP karyakartas (workers) and its staunch supporters also felt the pain," it said.

While there has been infighting in Karnataka with B S Yeddyurappa raising the banner of revolt off and on and demanding that he be reinstated as chief minister, in Gujarat Cchief minister Narendra Modi's bete noire Keshubhai Patel and others like Suresh Mehta have questioned his style of functioning. There was dissension in Rajasthan too when former chief minister Vasundhara Raje and her supporters objected to local BJP leader Gulabchand Kataria's plans of taking out a yatra. Kataria reportedly had the backing of Gadkari and the RSS but had to give up his plans.

"If pupils make a mistake in a class, it is understandable- but here even masters and principals are ready to leave the track. The party is the track on which the train of organisation runs," the editorial said. It reminded leaders should not forget that the organisation put them in the top position.

Advani had yesterday made a veiled attack on Gadkari and called for "introspection" within the party over its current state

If you want to do a political suicide, BJP is the best teacher. This party is going to be break into pieces if it fails to recognize their leader, Advani should take sanyas now, but instead of doing that, he's burning party's image in public and media doesn't leave any opportunity to give it more oxygen and ghee.Leadership is totally divided and wasted retired people are ruining their own party's image at domestic level.
Here in Gujarat, people know who's keshubapa and won't listen to him and as usual media is barking like a congi dog here, but high command doesn't want to consider it.Seems there's no will in party's leadership to tackle down this wasted whores.
BJP will choke in its own crowd, just wait and watch.

Narendra Modi is more than enough to handle the likes of Keshubhai, I hope the people of Gujarat give a resounding victory to NaMo in coming Assembly elections and hope we get to see him on national scene soon. Kar and Rajasthan will also be resolved. Media likes to protray small issues in BJP as if it is breaking apart or something. BJP is not a family business like Congress, it is a democratically run political party with good regional level talent. Compare the way Mrs Sonia became Congress President by locking up the old gentleman Sitaram Kesri in a toilet [google this @VIP, if you dont know already] to the way Gadkari was given second term by amending the party constitution in an orderly manner. Congress has only sycophants and chaploos types and does not allow any other leader to grow bigger than the ruling family. Mamata Banerji, Sharad Pawar, Jaganmohan Reddy are few examples who came out of Congress party.

As for Advani criticising the party or the offcial magazine expressing concern, these have to be taken as friendly criticism. Advani and Vajpayee were the two guys who made the party what it is today from 2 seats in parliament in 1984 to one of the two national parties.

That's what we and other educated people who are in touch with political news understand. But what about common people ?? Just look how media has taken the issue of Kamal Sandesh on entire different track.Media manipulates everything. The point is, BJP knows how media works, still its leaders make such statements openly on blogs and editorial articles which can be interpreted in many ways.
And about Gujarat, even congress knows they can't win but media's target is to restrict Modi below 150 seats. If Modi wins 150+ seats, it would be a record. And his image will become more bigger. But if he fails to cross 150/182, media will be very happy and will print this news for many days.

BJP will do better in the long run my friend because they do not stifle talent. See at state level they have very good leaders who are excellent administrators - Narendra Modi, BC Khanduri, Manohar Parrikar, Shivraj Chauhan, Raman Singh, etc and orators like Sushma Swaraj, Jaitley, Uma Bharati. So, no lack of talent.

I keep telling you guys, don't put too much faith in one person. He is not the savior. He cannot be one . Political and coalition compulsions will consume the man.

No lack of talent but also no lack of ego.Party must eliminate rebels 1st, get rid of some corrupt faces or give them job to strengthen party in their respective strong holds and make a firm continuous body to win atleast 180 seats in LS.

I know how politicians are. Most of the people join the politics for their own benefit. The topic is only about BJP here.BJP has some credible faces who work for people, too. But other hungry competitors always try to pull their legs for posts. The article isn't fully true. Most of parts are just assumptions and presented in such a way that looks like a truth. But the point which was made in article is somewhat true, just add different names. And that's hurting party a lot.

Another dumb step taken by RSS, now. Why do they need to confess and criticize such things openly.

They say in a forest the straight trees get cut first. BJP [many leaders] and RSS [most of them] are the straight trees in the political jungle and not used to the corruption and back stabbing.

It's a pretty near display of corruption in Karnataka by the BJP.

So what are you suggesting here ?? Just live under policyless congress forever ??Just look, how they manipulate with religions for votebank.
Nobody's saying that BJP is corruption free. It's also infected but less. The plus point is BJP does many things for development.Their policies are far more better than other parties. That makes it better.
