Bilateral Ties: China to help Pakistan with anti-terror efforts – The Express Tribune In order to promote the strategic partnership between the neighbours, China offered special assistance to Pakistan with its counter-terrorism efforts. While addressing the inauguration ceremony of â€˜China Hallâ€™, established at the newly-founded Strategic Studies Institute Islamabad (SSII), Chinaâ€™s ambassador to Pakistan, Liu Jian, said on Wednesday that his countryâ€™s commitment to the betterment of its neighbour remains steady. China will seek solutions and policies based on national needs, he said. Jian highlighted the repercussions of the war on terror, and said the growing cooperation in counter-terrorism initiatives was essential. â€œChina will always stand by Pakistan,â€ he promised. SSII Director-General Dr Shireen Mazari thanked the ambassador for his time, his gift of books and the conference system at the institute. At the occasion, former foreign minister, Inamul Haque, also spoke on the expanding ties between the two countries.
