Keep in mind numbers aren't everything and can be very misleading. A country might have 1000's of tanks counted in their official number that are sitting in reserve or storage out in some field, rusting, and barely maintained. Many of these tanks would take weeks or even months to be battle ready, at great effort.

I read any article somewhere, that most NATO equipment sits in storage, and wouldn't really be ready in case of a war for weeks. Many of Russia's tank numbers are also made up of old tanks, sitting out in a field. Overall Russia is leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else in Europe.

Tanks are created for kill troops in bunker,treanch And protect freandly but today tanks are considered as mainly tank kill . army should rethink the tank purpose. What is the use of having 1000 tank which is highly protected and rest as APC with large no of troops with less protuction

Those were the days! In recent years IDF tanks have been reluctant to show up after getting routinely destroyed by Hamas / Hezbollah.
