The jihadi pogrom against Bangladesh's Hindus is continuing with sickening regularity.

Advocate Rabindra Ghosh of behalf of Bangladesh Minority Watch has drawn the attention of a Division Bench Judges of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh yesterday on 21.04.2015, to attacks on Hindu temple deities, assaults on women and children, desecration of deities, the looting of their belongings and gold ornaments.

The latest such incident took place at Bangram in the Gazipur district on 20th April 2015. Bangladeshi judges Justice Kazi Rezaul Hoque and Abu Taher Mohammed Saifur Rahaman were informed about these incidents, the news of which has been published in the dailies The Daily Sangbad, The Daily Janakantha, and the daily Prothom Alo dated 21st April 15, about atrocities against Hindu minorities at Bangram-Gazipur.

The above-mentioned judges have issued a rule directing the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police, Gazipur District to ensure safety of the minority communities there. Authorities have also been directed to report back to High Court Division within May 6, 2015. The rule is returnable within two weeks from date.

The Bangladesh Minority Watch (BDMW) ha reported that about 50 houses belonging to Hindus were targeted by some Islamic groups. The attackers who belong to a group that calls itself the Rafique Bahini, targeted Hindu Ma Kali Temple on Sunday last at night, and robbed and looted gold ornaments, belongings, cash money and necessary articles belonging to Hindus. These sudden violent attacks left seven victims seriously injured, including women and children. Some of the victims had to run for safety inside the forest. A Hindi victim Sunil Chandra Barmal informed the BDMW that the Rafique Bahini is a notorious terror group and has been continuing its atrocities against Hindu minorities for long, but the Bangladeshi police have kept silent all the time.

Advocate Rabindra Ghosh has spoken to the Superintendent of Police, Gazipur, who assured that "necessary steps are being taken to arrest the perpetrators responsible" for these attacks on the country's Hindu minorities.

The BDMW has said that it will conduct its own investigation of the matter very soon.
