I prefer the Lada or Amur class submarines from Russia. They arent bad. Instead of subs you can concentrate more on Air cushion and corvettes. They are more effective for those marshes and shallow waters. A sub is still needed though.

Hovercrafts are the best for the Sunderbans type regions in Bangladesh. A similar terrain is the Rann of Kutch.

US Navy hovercrafts actually helped a great deal when the relief operations were going on after the deadly category 5 cyclone CIDR.Their hovercrafts could reach places where our ships could not go.It made relief work easier.

But it is time for us to have a 3D navy. Its just not the coast we have to protect, but also vast economic waters.

You can go for Scorpion class submarine or Augusta ,and also going Type 214 Submarine will be a very good idea.

Yeah,Hasina was sued for buying the migs and the order of 8 more migs were called off, after BNP came to power. You see there is politics in it,but to some extent they were right. We really don't need such costly fighters.Better to invest on portable SAMs.

About C-130,I am not sure there were criticism.Because those proved to be very useful with BAF and BAF plans to procure 4 more of those.

Apart from BNS Khalid Bin Walid all other frigates will be retire soon.Govt. plans to buy two more frigates and reports are there that parliamentary body approved the purchase.

Bangladesh have 5 frigates,3 operational and 2 used for training and kept as reserve.
