At least 27 dead in Texas church shooting

At least 27 people have died after a gunman opened fire at a church in Texas during Sunday services.
The attack happened at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs in Wilson County.
A police commissioner at the scene confirmed that at least 27 people had died. Several others are reported to be injured.
The San Antonio FBI branch said its agents had been deployed, and there was no indication of the gunman's motive.
The FBI also said that while only one shooter was reported, it was looking into other possibilities.
Local ABC affiliate KSAT 12 reported the gunman entered the church at around 11:30 local time (17:30 GMT). It also said he had been killed in the aftermath.
Photos and video from the scene showed the area taped off by local law enforcement.
A number of helicopters have arrived to transport the wounded, KSAT 12 reporter Max Massey said.

It's interesting that "white xtian" can never be terrorists; not when they are shooting/killing at churches or black churchgoers or Sikhs or in theatres.
It just some mental problem etc etc.
Because we all know from medieval and modern history, how saintly white xtians can be
:bplease:

Holy jeebus, it works. If only all the church goers were armed...
Bringing guns to a place of worship sounds a little awkward doesn't it?
Then off course this could have been prevented if their were armed guards at the church entrance.

Hope to get this one

As for illegals we already have a pistol and a AK back in the village, don't ask how:bounce:
Nice, if I'm not mistaken that is the same calibre as the Springfield bolt action. My dad had that growing up.

AK

Do you have source ?

Religions must be respected by atheists as much as religions should respect atheists. An atheist willing to kill in the name of atheism is just another kind of bigot.

Shooter was a militant atheist. He also did get stopped by a good guy with a gun.

Friends on Facebook said that in recent years, Mr. Kelley had become vocally anti-Christian, to the point where many stopped communicating with him. His Facebook page, which has been deleted, listed that he liked a number of atheist groups.

THE “deranged” gunman who killed 26 churchgoers in Texas was militant atheist who ranted on Facebook about “stupid” religious people.

Yes, this is the price to pay for having long drawn wars. There are so many military veterans I see with comfort dogs. Young folks, who could have enjoyed life, but were sent around the world waging wars, just because clowns like McInsane can get a high. It is even shameful that they keep funding these wars while Veterans Affairs is underfunded and veterans are not adequately taken care of. Politicians give lip service, and then move on.

This is going to be a long drawn debate. Some will say "look, the killer had access to a gun," while others will say "look, the good Samaritan was able to stop him because he had a gun." This is a never-ending debate.

Personally, I think, there were lapses. This USAF veteran had a dishonourable discharge and should not have had access to guns.
