Recently released data by SIPRI has confirmed that 36 (out of 90 ordered) Norinco SH-1 155mm SP howitzers have been delivered to Pakistan in 2013 and 2014.

Good. India is building artillery locating radars and glide bombs. India needs means to destroy Pakistani artillery, not necessarily SPGs.

Artillery locating radars, glide bombs and cruise missiles will do the trick. If India has enough smart weapons, Pakistan will never be able to field a meaningful challenge.

This is the reason LOCAL development and LOCAL manufacture are so important.

There is no need to import SPG or truck mounted artillery.

SPG are being built at Avadi. Truck mounted guns will be built by local vendors.

Pakistanis have been slow. We already have the Serbian NORA B-52 K1 SPH. Also Chinese PLZ-45 SP guns.

Other than US defunct but later refurbished self propelled artillery gun, is the only one which Pakistan has. In response India built its own catapult gun on its Arjun Chassis.

This report is false, although Pakistanis are searching for a supplier. Also it cost $6 million a piece, which Pakistan does not have in $9 billion defence budget and US has already curtailed a lot of its new military hardware deliveries except for pare parts.

appreciate pakis effort to acquire things from begging:thumb::thumb::sarcastic::hair:
Being bankrupt, the Porks must have got this crap free or from a discount rummage sale - buy two and get one free, like the 50 JF-17 Blunders they got at throw away prices recently from their deeper than the ocean friends. Lol!

Can they be deployed on the LOC in Kashmir? I'd imagine that the terrain is not suitable and they will be more of a factor on the International Border in other states.

Spot on! But being mobile self propelled artillery, they most likely would be used in desert terrain in support of mechanized formations, though tracked platforms would have been more suitable.

Who are these "We already" ? ... "Pakistanis" or "Bangladeshis" or "Bangladeshis who still not accepted the nation state" ?
