^^^ Good news is that our judiciary is still functional despite all it's shortcomings. Senior army officers are involved in rackets which run "Get wealthy" schemes. ID cards and several other sensitive documents can be purchased from the market. I know about an officer who was shunted because he knew too much and did not want to back down under the pressure of the superiors who wanted him to put the case into cold storage.

    This punishment is ridiculous.

As a lesson, all these personnel should be sacked out of Army with out pension & other benefits.

This token punishment does not guarantee honest behavior in future from these corrupt officers.

Some weapons from the Kargil war found their way to other places, and went into the hands of feuding groups and insurgents. Don't ask me how those weapons were transported, you will be disgusted.

Of the 29 officers of the rank of lieutenant colonel, colonel and major found involved in the sale of weapons, 15 were “punished” with “severe reprimand and a fine of Rs 500″. Fine of RS 500! what the fcuk?????is the jusdge saheb still lives in the angrezi era where 500 rupees means a lot.Even a lkg boy of a middle class family can afford it :p
